The apartment was clean and the hosts were accessible and friendly. We did dome hiking close by and then went up to Lincoln NH for another hike. This was about a 30 minute drive. The bed was a standsrd/full size as listed. That was a bit small for a good night's sleep. The AC is not central and did not cool the bedroom very well. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay.

Good sized unit and immenities, not as private as we hoped
We stayed in this charming little unit for a couples getaway. Jennifer was there to greet us when we arrived, she was very nice and thorough with explaining the condo and the surrounding areas. The unit has everything you could need, and is located between the mountains and the lakes regions. The only issue we had was with cooking, even turning the oven on set the fire alarm off. The unit is located in a condo complex so it's not a quaint private getaway, but we didn't mind. Otherwise it was a great little place to stay for the weekend.
We chose this charming chalet condo because of its proximity to the quaint Blair Bridge, and I highly recommend a walk or jog over to the bridge and even up the road to the edge of the White Mountains.
The property itself inspired the feeling of stepping back into a midcentury lodge (it's been updated/restored, but was built in the 1930s, so it has authenticity that you don't find in all guest spaces), with its wide plank hardwood floors, antique furniture, & decorative wall hangings. Jennifer and Scott were responsive but not intrusive, answering all questions quickly and even providing their cell #s on the kitchen table. My husband, who is techy and likes to charge devices, wasn't wild about not having abundant outlets, but I thought there were plenty, and when you stay in a historic home, that is a tradeoff you choose. Loved the details they considered, even stocking the kitchen with ziploc bags that we used for packing a picnic on our hike. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A clean, comfortable property in a great location
Pros: Nice place with all the amenities you need. The shower was amazing with the rain head above it. Fruit, frozen bagels, and coffee were provided. There is a binder for viewing local eateries and attractions. The property has access to walking trails and is about 1/4 mi from a lovely covered bridge. Also set about 3 miles from Plymouth, a quaint college town. Access to the interstate, scenic highways, state and national preserves is also very close. We took individual day drives along the minor routes into Vermont, Portland Maine, and the White Mountains leaving by 9am and returning by 7pm.
Cons: While we too tired to watch anything but a little amount of tv each evening, the audio quit on the tv shortly after it was turned on. The owner was advised and promised to look at it.
Also, be aware the unit is a wing of the house with a private entrance and separated by a wall that does expose you to audible noise and conversation in the main house.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.
This trip was a little get-away for my family and me. Both me and my fiance just came back from a long trip in Hawaii which was more stressful than relaxing, so we booked this trip to take a vacation from our vacation.
Overall, we were satisfied with the trip. The only points I want to make out are that the booking was a little deceiving. I asked VRBO if we acquire the whole property and they replied saying yes. It wasn't until after that that we found out we only had the second floor. There was nothing wrong with that at all but we just thought one thing and received another. We also book VRBO with the assumption everything will be virtual. We like to be able to just walk in and feel likes it's our house. As nice as it was of them, they were really persisting we get their phone numbers when they greeted us. Messaging each other's phone numbers through the app would have been just enough.
The shower was beautiful. The floors are magnificent. It was a cozy and warm place with a spacious room. It was nice to be able to walk down to the river and drive up to the White Mountains. It wasn't too far from anything. It was a relaxing trip home away from home.
Thank you for hosting me and my family. It was a beautiful place.
Very nice place to stay for a small family or couple. Walking distance to Blair Covered Bridge which has a very nice restaurant next to it. The property is very clean and organized. Easy access to highways. Would recommend this place.
The property was exactly as described, the owner waited up late for us to be sure that we got in. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again soon! Thank you
This is a great place. Owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed the size of the apartment and all the amenities. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
Stayed for 2 nights and my wife and I really enjoyed it. Place is located close to the highway which was really convenient but still felt tucked away. Nice walk of the grounds which led to the Pemi River with a nice view of a covered bridge. Inside the home had everything you really need. Owners were great. Met us when we arrived and showed us around. They were always available for any questions and with suggestions on places to eat or visit. Would highly recommend.
I chose this property so I could kayak on Squam Lake and hike a couple trails nearby. It is easy to reach, right off I-93 and just one exit away from a Hannaford supermarket where I conveniently got groceries for my stay.
Jennifer, my host, was extremely pleasant and accommodating, and she made several helpful suggestions to suit my plans.
The property is quaint, clean and comfortable, although the grounds perhaps could use just a little sprucing up.
I particularly appreciated the Wi-Fi, AC, and oversized shower. The unit is the perfect size for a loan traveler, a couple, or a family with one or two children but can sleep up to five. The rental is on the second floor of the hosts' residence, a rustic chalet that I believe was once the main office building of a motel complex consisting of a several smaller A-framed homes.
The locale is very peaceful. It's within walking distance to a covered bridge and well-rated restaurant and just 7 minutes driving distance from Plymouth, a college town with several other eateries.
I'm not a fancy guy, but I appreciate cleanliness, convenience, and hospitality, so I therefore highly recommend this property to anyone who is like-minded.
My wife and I had a very nice stay in Campton. It was a good location for exploring the White Mountains which was our main objective. We worked primarily with Jennifer who was very helpful. She gave us some good hiking suggestions. The bottom floor space of the rather large chalet-like structure had plenty of room. In fact two families could stay there comfortably. The place was clean and everything worked just fine. We would stay there again.
It was perfect for what we needed and had great wifi so netflix and hulu worked perfectly for the kids. Yes, you must have your own accounts to access these services. I'm not sure where the washer and dryer were exactly; I second guessed myself and thought I made a mistake after getting there. They do list them as an amenity but are not in the unit so not sure if mistake or not. Would certainly stay here again in the future, thank you.

Campton, NH retreat
l stayed at the chalet during an art and craft show I was doing in the area. After spending the long days with customers I needed a quiet and relaxing retreat. The condo filled the bill perfectly and I had everything I needed including a full kitchen and cooking supplies. The condo actually has a separate bedroom and an enclosed porch with double bed. There is also a day bed in the main room so this would be a perfect place for a family or several couples. There was easy communication during arrival and departure. I would recommend Jennifer and Scott's chalet if you are visiting the area.

Home away from home
We were very happy with our stay. The condo was very cozy and comfortable with all the comforts of home. The owners provided all the necessities you could think of so if you forgot something, no need to worry, which was a very nice touch. Jennifer welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a run down of the area which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer and Scott Legier
We moved our family to this area in Summer for 2015 from Southern California. We came for the beauty and the life-long dream of living in this beautiful area. Jennifer has a background in design and textiles and has worked hard to make our rental as homey as possible. Scott, a massage therapist, works locally at The Common Man spa, come see him for a discounted hour of relaxation (extended to our guests), or opt for an in-home massage.
Why they chose this property
We are ideally situated minutes off the highway, with easy access to the Lakes Region, or the White Mountain Region. We are located midway between them. Come for hiking, horseback riding, skiing, snow mobiling, leaf-peeping, rock-climbing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, tubing, treasure-hunting, or our assortment of fabulous restaurants in our area. Our home is light, bright and airy, and very comfortable. We are located on the premises, for immediate attention to any issues, or for questions or suggestions. We love catering to our guests! Don't hesitate to ask!
What makes this property unique
Our tiny complex was once a bustling motel and boasts quaint picturesque little cabins situated in a half-moon shape around our main house. The charm of the area was what led us to purchase the home. It is almost like stepping back in time to a simpler era. People who have visited us remark about its "fairytale-like qualities" especially in the winter time when each tiny cabin has a rooftop crowned with snow.
