Nestled at the foot of the Bavarian alps in Ostallgäu, in the not-too-touristy town of Pfronten just minutes from Füssen and King Ludwig's famed Schloss Neuschwanstein, lies the Allgäuer Appartementhaus. The light-filled studio apartment #10 with a king and single bed sleeps three and has a perfect small kitchenette for preparing light meals. A large flower-bedecked balcony furnished with a table and chairs, overlooks the town to the landmark St. Nikolaus church and the mountains beyond. Hiking/biking and cross-country ski trails are just out the door and grocery store, restaurants, beer gardens, cafés, bakeries and wonderful shopping abound just minutes away by foot. The gondola to take you up the Breitenberg for alpine skiing and parasailing is five minutes away; local lakes offer swimming, boat rentals, and day trips on the water. There is a sunny terrace for sun-bathing, picnicking or enjoying a refreshing drink, a large sauna area, and a ski-room.

Gute Unterkunft in wunderschöner Umgebung

Ruhige Lage, schöner Ausblick auf das Bergpanorama in Pfronten, alles sauber und gepflegt. Einige Kleinigkeiten, die nicht so gut waren: Badlüftung war defekt und am Schluss des Urlaubs ging der Kühlschrank kaputt.

Das Objekt ist in Ordnung .Laut Inserat sollten zwei Schlafzimmer vorhanden sein, Es waren ein Doppelbett im Wohnraum und eine Schlafkoje neben der Kochstrecke. Aber der Balkon und der Blick auf die Berge ist toll.

Schöner Urlaub

Die Wohnung ist schön, die Lage ist toll und die Verwaltung im Haus freundlich. Und hast nur gestört, dass die Wohnung als kinderfreundlich ausgeschrieben war. Wir gingen von einem Kinderbett, Hochsitz, etc. aus. Leider sind nichtmal die Steckdosen gesichert. Kinderfreundlich bedeutet wohl nur, dass Kinder willkommen sind.

Nettes Apartment im Allgäu

Die Wohnung entsprach der Beschreibung. Die Vermieterin reagiert sehr schnell und ist hilfsbereit. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit ihr möglich. Man muss darauf achten, alles zu lesen und den Hund ausdrücklich anzumelden. Er kostet dann 10 € pro Tag. Das WLAN ist eher schlecht, zumal es viele Dinge von vornherein ausschließt, wie etwa Whatsapp Video Chat. Auch ist es wohl unsicher. Die Wohnung ist in einem Apartmenthaus voller Ferienwohnungen und dieses macht einen altmodischen Eindruck. Eher unfreundlich wirken die gedruckten Ermahnungen an der Tür für die Abreise. Man fühlt sich in dieser Hinsicht an eine Jugendherberge erinnert. Auch ist 10 Uhr eine sehr frühe Zeit. Die Küche in unserer Wohnung war sehr übersichtlich und es gab nicht einmal einen Wasserkocher. Auch fehlte, wie sonst oft üblich, ein kleines Willkommenspaket aus Milch, Tee, Kaffee und Keksen oder 1 Flasche Wein oder Bier. Der Balkon ist nett, es fehlten aber Auflagen für die Stühle. Auf dem Sofa fehlte eine Decke zum Einkuscheln. Es gab auch keine Hundedecke oder eine Kleinigkeit für den Hund, was angesichts der 10 Euro pro Tag doch schön gewesen wäre und was ich aus anderen Urlaubserfahrungen schon gewohnt war. Im Wesentlichen war aber alles in Ordnung und entsprach auch der Beschreibung, nur eben etwas lieblos. Bei der freundlichen Kommunikation hätte ich mehr erwartet. Der Ort selbst ist klein und ganz nett. Gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge, zum Beispiel nach Neuschwanstein. Sehr zu empfehlen der Biergarten mitten im Ort. Vorsicht beim Frühstück, in diesem Ort muss man sich zum Teil voranmelden, wenn man welches möchte und das ergibt sich nicht unbedingt aus der Speisekarte. So ging es uns im "Dorfgeschwätz". Das war eine sehr nervige Erfahrung, wenn man mit 2 hungrigen Kindern dasitzt und erst auf Nachfrage erfährt, dass das in der Speisekarte versprochene Frühstück nur mit 1 Tag Vorbestellung serviert wird.

A fantastic base to explore the German Alps

Booking was very easy and Gretchen was very helpful and friendly - the hausmeister was great too. The location of the apartment was excellent with the Alpenbad and supermarket in easy walk but lovely views and a quiet peaceful location. Would definitely stay again.
