An idyllic, narrow country road along the picturesque and fish-rich sea of Årdalsfjorden, will lead you to this charming holiday cottage. The house has a fantastic location, with a panoramic view of the fjord and island scattered around. This is the perfect place for those looking for a combinination of hiking / nature experiences and urban excursions to Stavanger and its museums and shops. Good fishing conditions in the fjord, also for inshore fishing. There are several public wharfs nearby, the closest one is 2 km away. The area offers lots of mountain hiking. You can start walking directly from the house, or drive for a bit to find a bigger selection of hiking trails. A map is ready for you in the house. Mølleparken in Tau is a popular park with a cafe, flea market and art exhibition, open every Sunday. You can pick mushroom in late summer. Bring walking shoes and enjoy yourself with a good book on the terrace with a great view. The fjord almost boils with mackerel in summer. The famous salmon river Årdalselven flows into the fjord. The cottage is a good point of departure for excursions to the many attractions in the area, like the famous Pulpit Rock. The magnificent scenery gives a splendid backdrop for mountain hiking. The owner lives next to the cottage and uses the garage connected to the holiday home. An extra bed or a children's bed can be arranged.
