The whole house is beautiful, large, and really functional. Game room is a huge plus too. And the deck is so nice. We had a really great stay and Garth was a very responsive host. Everything was fantastic!

Great Property

We were a large group of adults and kids and found the house to be the perfect size. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of tv’s as well. Kitchen had several pots and pans and plenty of dishes/cups. Make sure to bring your own spices. Owner was very responsive and flexible regarding check-in and check-out times, which was great! It’s a great property and we would definitely stay there again!

Lake house

Perfect for Family Vacation!

The property was just like the pictures. Beautiful view of the lake and enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards every morning and evening. Having multiple paddleboards, kayaks and life jackets was great. Everyone that wanted to venture out on the lake could do it together! The property was clean and well maintained. We loved the amenities- fire pit, game room, big weber grill, paddle boards and kayaks. We used them all. Having the track, downtown area, golf courses, and many parks so close was great. Would definitely return and suggest this property to others.

Beautiful Beach Lake House!

This home was perfect for our large group! It was very hot and the AC was great, almost too cold in the downstairs area. House is very well stocked including the kayaks and paddleboards that entertained the kids the whole time. The game room was the place to be before and after dinner, lots of great memories made! For the adults that needed to work, the wifi was impressive! To top it off, the sunsets are some of the best on the lake from the front deck. Owners and his team were amazing, the dishwasher broke and they had a new one in within 3 hours! This home will be our annual tradition.

Great stay at Saratoga Lake!

We had our big family trip (24 people, multi generational) and their other property we booked was awesome! There were plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone and they were all comfortable. We could really space out, but also enjoy the common areas to catch up and relax. The communication and customer service was off the charts. Our coffee machine wasn’t working and there was a new one dropped off within the hour. Our coffee drinkers were super impressed and appreciative of the quick action. It was a beautiful stay with all the amenities and proximity to the lake. I would not hesitate to book this venue again. We had a blast! Not one complaint comes to mind. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Great house and Amazing Views!

This place has everything you need to have an amazing vacation at Saratoga Lake. The views from the deck and dock are unforgettable, and the house has all the space and amenities you could want. We were able to dock our boat on the dock which made boating the lake even easier. The owner was great and had wonderful recommendations of restaurants, golf courses, and some day hikes. The kids stayed in the game room for most of the evenings which allowed us adults to relax and enjoy. The kayaks and paddleboards were a great addition (bring your own kids life jackets as they only have a few sizes for adults). The fire pit in the front was great for s'mores, we could sit on the upper deck and watch the kids and sunsets! If you do rent a boat or bring a boat, the lake has a handful of restaurants that you can boat up to. Across the lake has a great anchorage area with a sandy bottom, it has a fun atmosphere. Great lake and great house, you will be seeing us again!

Duped...

Location was amazing and the house has plenty of space however description online was not accurate at best..... the furniture was broken ( two couches were disgraceful) and so was the pool table and fuseball table so the kids did not have a playroom as advertised... AC upstairs wasn't working upon arrival but was fixed upon notification to owner.... there was a bedroom which was not usable because it remained unbearably hot the entire time..... Definitely in need of maintenance and repair and replacements.....

Enjoyed, but didn't quite meet expectations

The house was HUGE, very SPACIOUS, with a GREAT location and FABULOUS sunset views from the expansive deck. All as advertised. Garth was not very proactive with communications, but very responsive when communication was necessary, as others have said in their reviews. What was not discussed is the dock is somewhat unusable because of the number of birds that land on the dock and the amount of excrement they deposit on the dock. Granted, the dock is not discussed in the property description but a picture is included so there is some expectation as to dock usage. We managed and Garth did try to remedy the situation, but it's just a constant battle with the birds. So be warned. Also be aware that the house could use some TLC. Some things in the kitchen you might expect to have aren't there. The cleanliness is average - the obvious things are cleaned but the little things (like cleaning out the kitchen garbage cans or inside the kitchen cabinets) are not. Also it would appear the owner does not ever live on the property and thus there is neglect of little things. Overall, it is a nice rental house for a large group, it just didn't meet our expectations given the rental price, in comparison to other rentals we have had over the past 12 years.

This property was not well maintained

The house was very dirty when we checked in. Wiping counters left us with black paper towels and the floors were covered in crumbs. There we dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere. On ceilings, on windows, in corners…just a disgusting amount of bugs. Clearly the house had not been properly cleaned in a long time. Many of the advertised appliances did not work. The dryer didn’t work, the garage fridge did not get cold enough to put food in, the air conditioning unit in a 4 bed room would not cool the room below 80 so it wasn’t usable, the grill had no propane, and one of the burners on the stove didn’t work. When we arrived the outside trash bins were full of trash, the dock was covered in bird poop, and the “beach” was full of weeds making it mostly unusable. Also, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from the people who stayed before us. Overall, the house was dirty and really ruined our trip. When I sent photos and a report of these things to the owner he said he would look into it and get back to me, then stopped responding. What he is doing is wrong. We paid a lot of money to stay at that house and he is not maintaining it at an even remotely acceptable level. There should be accountability for owners such as this on VRBO, and I would not use this service in the future if these are the kinds of houses that are allowed,

Great annual ski weekend getaway

This home is beautiful and very spacious. 19 of us had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. There were also 2 driveways, so plenty of room for parking 7 vehicles. It was unfortunate that the lake was not frozen due to the warm winter, but we could see the great potential for some ice fishing. All of the furniture was very comfortable and plenty of room for eating. There was an amazing amount of storage as well for all of our food. One bedroom to make a note of is the bunk room. There is no heat in there, and it did get quite cold at night. It helped to prop the door open, however that room is located directly off of another bedroom, so there was a lack of privacy for the couple staying there. We did have an issue with the hot water, but we contacted the owner and he sent someone out to fix it immediately and we were fine after that. A few things to note, there were plenty of cups, dishes and silverware. However, a few more baking dish options would be great. Also, the dishwasher would not stay on during the cycle. We tried several times to start it and it would always shut off after a few minutes. We didn't notice this until the very end of the trip, or we would have asked the owner to check it out. Had to do a lot of handwashing. Finally, the game room is located in the garage and is very spacious to hang out in. It is a little chilly in the winter due to the garage not being heated. But the owner does provide several space heaters to help with this. And when multiple people are hanging out in there, it helps with the body heat. Not a complaint as it is obvious in the photos of the house that the room is in a garage, just a note to future renters. Would love to stay again.

Great Lake Views and Big Spacious Home!

House was spacious and clean with a great layout and activities. Kitchen was huge and had everything you could need. Perfect view of the lake and sunsets from the deck. Also a very relaxing & quiet spot down on the lake dock. Only a short drive to get to downtown & the racetrack. Owner was super responsive. Check in / check out was a breeze.

Best Week Ever!

We loved this house, this location, and the owner is very responsive! We had almost perfect weather which allowed us to enjoy the deck with the beautiful sunsets and the beach was great to have and able to enjoy the kayaks and paddleboards. Only suggestion would be to have some heavier blankets around as the AC is great but on some cooler nights it was too great! Looking forward to our return!

We love Saratoga and I love Cape Cod. This home reminded us of an expansive Cape Cod home and luckily was located right on Saratoga Lake! When we realized the property came with 100 ft private beach I decided to jump on this opportunity. The past owners built the home and maintained it meticulously making for little work to make it vacation rental ready. We purchased brand new beds, comfortable couches (enough for everyone to have a seat), and all new televisions and kitchen appliances. We have some great plans for this home and some more immediate than others.
