My family (grown children), their significant others, and I booked a stay at this beautiful New Carlilse home for our Notre Dame football game weekend. It was as advertised - wonderful - and more. As we pulled up through acres of cornfields and family farms, we were greeted by deer scampering across the road, and a five-star sunset! The grounds were lovely, with very nice landscaping.
The interior of the home was so inviting! There were several great little intimate spots in and around the house where we could gather or sit peacefully alone, including a cozy family room and an inviting fire pit area. The beds were comfortable, and all of us slept very well.
About 25 minutes from the Notre Dame campus without traffic. And it's much faster than taking the 'regular routes' to the game. Back roads get you to the game quickly!
Thanks again to the hosts!
Everything was great with fresh flowers out for our arrival. Jenifer was responsive and very quick to help when we needed her to do so. She left fresh fruit for us for breakfasts. The house was spacious and welcoming. The kitchen was nicely equipped. Everyone loved the place.
This was the perfect place to stay for our trip to South Bend to watch the Notre Dame football game. There was more than enough room for the 6 of us to sleep, spread out, relax…whatever! The fire pit was wonderful on a nice fall evening. Our host was so helpful in so many ways. We definitely plan to stay here when we come to the area again!
We have stayed at this property many times while visiting Hudson Lake as our lake house is under construction. It is cozy, spacious, warm, and inviting! My youngest son described it perfectly, it’s like getting a hug from grandma. I would recommend this rental to any family!!! Beds are super comfy too:)
This was like stepping back in time to a cozy little country house. The yard and landscaping was absolutely beautiful and the house was quiet and cozy.
I rented this for the weekend to host a baby shower and Jenifer was exceptionally accommodating, communicative, and flexible with us. Utilizing the outdoor back patio ended up creating the most intimate and beautiful shower atmosphere.
We stayed for Notre Dame graduation weekend. Seven adults were comfortable in the home. There is a grocery store close by and ND campus is 15 miles (about 30 minutes w/ traffic). The backyard was well kept with a fire pit and yard games. The property met out needs perfectly.
Property was very clean and there was ample space for our family/friend group to gather together. Jenifer is very responsive and communication was excellent. I would stay here again for a Notre Dame Football weekend.
This rental was perfect for my husband and his brother and two friends to use while visiting South Bend for a long weekend. They loved the accommodations, had beautiful weather for golfing, & saw the Irish win!
This comfortable house and property was wonderful for my family of four, my brother, and our parents. We were able to participate in the Friday fun on campus at Notre Dame and then the game but come back to rest and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard space, ALL the amenities provided, and the warm comfort of a home. We ordered excellent pizza and wings from the Billy Goat 9 and Dine local restaurant. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks to the hosts!
A wonderfully enjoyable weekend stay, quaint, comfortable, and peaceful. We stayed up talking late into the night on the screened in porch and played trivia around the oak dining table. Not to mention a beautiful day on nearby Lake Michigan. All in all a memorable weekend.
Property was clean and comfortable. Fire pit and back deck were enjoyable. Kitchen was outfitted properly. Overall nice. Host communicated quickly and kindly.
We stayed at the house because my family is from the area and we were meeting with local family members. The house was convenient to everything and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Jennifer was a fantastic host and we enjoyed our time very much.
We stayed at the Kanes Guesthouse for a nearby family reunion. Host Jenifer is very courteous and communicative. Property is charming and comfortable and clean. This listing was pet friendly, a hard thing to find, and it was great to be able to bring our dog here. One thing to note is that there is a small farm adjacent to the property with livestock, depending on temperament, you may need to plan to exercise your pet off the property. A pleasant stay and host, I recommend this listing.
This property was perfect for our small family group for a weekend at Notre Dame. Not too far away, well priced, enough bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen for breakfast, and space to hang out together. The welcoming sign was lovely!
What a great house and great experience we all had for a great fall football weekend. The Kane house had everything we needed and was very clean and great quiet property. All accommodations were perfect and Jenifer was a very responsive and great host. We will definitely make plans again for a Notre Dame football weekend. Next time we hope the Irish win!
This house has a great location for attending games and events at the University of Notre Dame. Communication with the owner was great and timely. There was plenty of room for four adults and three kids.
We stayed for a golf outing. The house was very nice and clean. The communication with the owner was terrific. The best thing I can write is that if we come back to the area we will for sure stay here again.
Rode motorcycles to Southbend to participate in a Spartan Race...enjoyed this property and the neighborhood wildlife! Owner was responsive and we were more than happy with the entire set-up!
I purchased the home in 2014 after my parents passed. The home was hand built by my father and holds many dear family memories for my brothers Pat, Jon and Mitch and I. We all grew up in the home and attended New Prairie High School and were active in sports and many community activities. My husband Steve and I currently live in Augusta, Michigan which is near the Kalamazoo area.
