The Shepherds Hut is so well situated and well appointed; we enjoyed our one night stay very much. We had a lovely relaxing evening and an equally great breakfast on the deck enjoying the fresh air. Darren and Jax have created a perfect little escape.
Beautiful shepherds hut in an idyllic setting, very well equipped, great communication and the most beautiful place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and tranquility

The hosts, Darren and Jacqueline, were both friendly, welcoming with lots of information about our stay. The shepherds hut was so clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The location was perfect and as we were lucky with the weather - we had an amazing stay and certainly would love to come for a visit again.
The property was very comfortable and in an idyllic setting. The bed was easy to set up and very comfortable. It is clearly very well looked after! We would definitely come back.
Great location. First time in a Shepherds Hut or similar and despite my initial reservations I found the whole experience enjoyable. Well thought out and had everything needed for a short stay. Good and attentive hosts.
Had a lovely one night stay, the view from the hut was brilliant and if you’re looking for peace and quiet this is the perfect location. Darren was very friendly and made us feel more than welcome. We went to celebrate our anniversary and left as fiancées and will definitely be back!
Amazing place to stay, we stayed for the weekend and if you’re looking for peace and quite surrounded by nature. Then this is the place to come. Thanks so much to Darren and jax . We will definitely be back. See you soon.
(to) short but lovely stay at the shepherds hut. Cute but functional accommodation and surprisingly comfortable bed. Sitting outside in the evening watching deer, horses and the occasional chicken in silence except for the birdsong was special. Perfect spot from which to explore Dorset. We will be back 👍
In overall adequate conditions bed is situated too high and need 2 persons to pull down no heath and safety in place I actually damaged my soldier doing so. No meeting or greeting at all, Dog poo everywhere no one is care about difficult for eating/drinking outside.
The shepherd's hut was a real experience and really lovely. It was immaculately decorated and cleaned and very comfortable. The kitchen was well kitted out and suitable for cooking some proper meals although we didn't use it. Opening a cot would have been possible but not ideal due to lack of space; the bed was large and comfortable enough for him to sleep with us (although the bed was high so needs attention with small people). There was understandably limited supply of hot water so showers had to be v short.
Amazing shepherds hut, facilities attention to detail, and Darren & Jax lovely friendly hosts thanks
we will return as it is an amazing beautiful shepherds hut with lovely views close to the forest for dog walks and Darren and Jax lovely hosts 10/10 for everything ❤
Lovely little hut for the weekend. Not sure would want to stay much longer as there isn’t much storage due to the quirkiness of the accommodation. The solitude was divine even if there was the occasional plane flying over landing at nearby Bournemouth Airport! We let the dog out for her evening run and there were two deer standing at the fence! Wasn’t expecting that! There was everything there that we needed even a little bottle of milk which was a nice touch, also plenty of hot water. Lovely area out the front of the hut to sit and listen to the wildlife with a refreshing drink in hand. Would recommend this wonderful Shepherds Hut for a relaxing weekend away for sure.
I stayed here with my 75 year old mother and dog in first week hotels etc could open post lockdown and had the most amazing time.
The hosts were fantastic, great communications and very friendly and welcoming.
The hut itself is self contained, you feel like you're away from it all in a beautiful location. Everything in the hut is new, clean and excellent quality. We enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the views and our dog enjoyed meeting the host dogs!
It exceeded our expectations & we look forward to visiting again! Thank you :)
