This bijoux little property has been decorated to a high standard. In the most prime of locations in this beautiful little town, it is literally a stones throw from all the towns attractions, its famous museum of modern art, stunning church, main square, the city Ramparts (Rue des Remparts!), excellent restaurants, cafe's and funky shops not to mention the bustling and picturesque Saturday market. Despite this, it is quiet being situated on a narrow cobbled alleyway parallel to the main street.
There are two small ensuite bedrooms on the first two floors, a spectacular modern kitchen and a skylit office on the third floor and a chic sitting room on the 4th floor which has a magnificent view of the church tower. There is a wood-fire in the sitting room and a small but attractive terrace with a barbecue. There is full double glazing throughout for the winter months. It is fully kitted out with all modern amenities. Perfect for a romantic break or for 2 couples/families of up to four.
Ceret is in a fantastic region for outdoor activities - half an hour from the coast (eg. beautiful Collioure), very close to the thermal spa of Amelie les Bains, 1.5 hours from ski-ing in winter, great hiking, canyoning and rapelling, many activities and swimming at the lake in St Jean Pla de Corts, cycling and walking and there are endless places to explore in the region from unspoilt villages, mountains, beaches, wineries - it is also a 15 minute drive from Spain. The mountain drive at the foot of the Pyrenees along the tech river is spectacular. A well known wine growing region, Ceret is also famous for its cherries, art galleries and many festivals. Wonderful cuisine. Despite all this Ceret remains relatively undiscovered, popular with art lovers and outdoorsy types rather than mass tourist groups. Countless markets in the region.
