Holiday bungalow at Welcombe, on a quiet site of just 12, with plenty of open space around, close to the popular village pub, and with views to the coast just one mile away. The bungalow is well equipped, sunny and with its own private sitting out area looking out across the fields. There is a reserved parking space. The bungalows are well spaced out and privately owned, several reserved for owners use only. The coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and both valleys are nature reserves with a wealth of wild flowers, insects and birds. There are wonderful sunsets and clear, starry night skies. The coastal scenery is spectacular with soaring cliffs and intimate coves. A few miles down the coast are the long sandy beaches of Sandy Mouth and Bude.
Welcombe is a quiet, rural community with a parish church, the thatched Old Smithy inn, village hall and a network of lanes and bridle paths to explore. The beach is popular with surfers, and children love its rock pools and sand , and waterfall. There is a small car park on the cliff top. Hartland Quay, with its popular hotel and bar overlooking the Atlantic, is a few miles up the coast and dramatic Hartland Point a little further north - and the ever popular attraction of Clovelly less than 10 miles away.
The main A 39 is just two miles away, giving access to the many attractions of the West Country. For children there are a number of attractions such as the Milky Way, the Big Sheep, Flambards etc. There are several first class gardens to visit and a smattering of stately homes; there are the Camel Trail and the Tarka Trail for cyclists, and the south west coastal path for walkers.
