About this property

Coastal Cottage, 3BR,Wi-Fi, Parking, Enclosed Garden, Fishguard & Goodwick

Located at the top of Goodwick Hill in this pretty coastal village, a 3 bedroom stone cottage/ex farmhouse dating back to around 1770. The cottage sleeps 6 and there is ample off-road parking, and a fully enclosed back garden safe for little ones.

Nearby you have the coast path, 3 pubs, shopping, a couple of Fish & Chip restaurants, transport links via bus, rail and sea (Ireland) making this an excellent base to explore Pembrokeshire year round.

There are two receptions in the cottage; As you enter, sitting room to the right with a 32" TV/DVD combo, DVD's, leather sofa's & chairs etc.
To the left is the dining room accommodating six at the table, original fireplace feature, and a small nook that houses a home organ.
A small step up leads into a hallway and the fully equipped kitchen, which has a washer/dryer combo, an American style fridge, microwave etc.
The back door then leads out into the garden which is fully enclosed and safe for little ones.
A folding wood/glass partition leads to the mid level bathroom and stairs. The bathroom has a full bath, shower and a charming vanity unit. In the airing cupboard you will find spare sheets, towels, high chair, clothes horse, ironing board etc.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a double bed, second bedroom has wooden bunk beds and one single bed, and the third bedroom has a single bed.
The property is most comfortable to sleep 4 adults, and the bunks for children.
There is also a small study upstairs.
Linen and towels are provided and the beds made up for your arrival. Central heating and the hot water is controlled via a Nest thermostat, so easy to operate.
The property is very easy to find; A40 toward the ferry terminal, go around the roundabout and straight on until you come to the Rose & Crown pub. Turn left there, and proceed right up to the top of the hill. As you round the bend at the top, the property will be directly in front of you.
Guest access is for the entire property, except the garage.

Vielen Dank.

Unbelievably Hot and Sunny
Had a lovely time at this property, the hot weather helped! No problems except sometimes using the cooker tripped the electricity for the whole house, this seemed to be intermittent. Also with a family, a second loo, shower and dishwasher would always help. But we loved the house and garden and would recommend.

An excellent base for exploring Pembrokeshire.
The description is exact, the property was clean, the internet is lighting fast, there is a safe garden for children to play in. It is a good value property that met our expectations. If we had paid the prices that some other owners wanted (often 3x the price) then we would probably expect firmer mattresses, a more modern shower or similar upgrades but it was exactly as we thought it would be and it served our purposes as a base for a family holiday very well. Notes: The Dolphin Fish bar by Tesco is truly excellent (far better than than the well reviewed Something Cooking out of town) . The tapestry at the library is worth a look. The Co-op is much better than the Tesco express. Transport links are decent - St Davids and Folly Farm/ Tenby are easy to get to. The house is on top of a v steep and pedestrian unfriendly hill. There do seem to be buses quite frequently but I'd not fancy walking up that hill from the station with luggage = there is easily space for 2 cars on the driveway.

Great location
The best thing about this property is it's fantastic location. Touching distance to amazing North Pembrokeshire coastline including Strumble Head lighthouse, not to be missed at sunset. The large grassy garden was enjoyed by the children and inside the property was adequate for our needs.

Originally from Cardiff, my family and I love spending time on the Pembrokeshire coast, so we purchased this cottage in 2017 to escape the hustle and bustle.

Please message me with any and all questions, and I will respond ASAP.

Thank you.

Why they chose this property

An excellent base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Proximity to the coast/coast path, and family in the area.

The Pembrokeshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is close by, so enjoy stunning scenic walks, beautiful cliffs & the opportunity to watch marine life.

What makes this property unique

It’s one of the 3 original structures in the area, lots of history. Originally a farmhouse, it would have beared witness to the French surrender in 1797 (last invasion).
