My guest house has 5 en-suite bedrooms, Trentham is a small b&b is ideal if you like a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and home from home feel. We know how important your holiday is, so rest assured we will do our best for you.
Paignton is part of Torbay also known as The English Riviera. Our ideal location in Paignton is central for all activities in the bay, with Torquay 3 miles in one direction and Brixham 5 miles the opposite direction. This means you are never far from a coastal walk or a quick bus ride to get you around the bay to make the most of your holiday. If you don't want to venture far, we are approx 200 yds from Paignton Green the Pier and beautiful Paignton beach.
We have plenty of beautiful beaches and coves for you to explore in the bay, the 2 nearest namely, Preston beach, this is attached to Paignton beach when the tide is out a little, also, past Paignton harbour, you will find Goodrington beach, this is a lovely walk from the guest house, along the coastal path.
If your interest is history, you can go to Kents caverns for an underground journey, where Britain's oldest jawbone was unearthed. There are also numerous listed buildings, one of which is Torre Abbey where you can discover 800 years of history. The arrival of Brunel's railway in 1859 led to the devolpment of Paignton as a seaside town, Brunel's viaduct with the steam train crossing over it is quite a site. Berry head nature reserve is one of our favourite walks, where you can see the quarry from which the stone was used to create the Napoleonic forts there.
After a wonderful day there are plenty of places to relax and unwind or if you wish dance the night away.
The English Riviera has its own micro climate, this means the palm trees grow naturally and is a lovely feature of the bay. We are always happy to give guidance about places of interest to visit, things to do and places to eat, so you can make the most of your holiday with us.
