Location is perfect!
The best thing about this property is the location. It is just up hill from the beach and just a little down hill from the walking/biking rail-trail that runs from town to town along the coast. We walked daily to pick up our baguette from an excellent boulangerie patisserie in Le Rayol. Parking can be challenging, but the location, along with the view from the patio were by far the best things about the property. And too, it was perfectly situated in proximity to the wedding venue for our son’s wedding which is what brought us to Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer.
The 3 stars we gave this property were primarily for mediocre cleanliness and inaccuracies in the listing. For example, there is no outdoor grill, or clothes dryer or WiFi. The listing also fails to state that the two bathrooms have only sinks and showers. The one toilet is in a separate stall or “water closet.” For those from the USA this may be an unexpected and unpleasant discovery. And, if you are sleeping in the bedroom where the double bed is, you have to go down the steep spiral staircase to get to it at night.
The apartment is also too crowded with flimsy furniture both inside and on the patio and the bed pillows need to be replaced. The kitchen has a good gas stove top, but the minimal kitchen counters are over-crowded with unnecessary kitchen appliances. We were able to cook several meals but had to make counter space by moving several of the appliances off to a sideboard.
Again, the location is great!
