This custom 3 bedroom/3 bath home was completed April 2016 and is located on the east end of Dauphin Island in the gated Desoto Landing community. The house is well appointed and is in very close proximity to the neighborhood pool, tennis courts, and boardwalk to a white sandy beach. We are situated at the end of a cul-de sac with a serene view of a natural dune out of a large, 400 square foot screened in porch – perfect for getting away to enjoy some quiet time or gathering with family and friends. The front deck is an equally peaceful retreat and there is large amount of space underneath the house including a storage room with lots of beach supplies.
Inside, the house features a spacious open floor plan. The fully stocked extra large kitchen opens into the dining and living room area with plenty of space for cooking, eating, and entertainment. The living room includes a leather reclining sofa and 60” Television, board games, etc. The large Master bedroom has an open view through French doors to the dune, spacious master bathroom with separate tub and shower, and king size bed. The other bedrooms include a queen size bed in one and twin beds in the other, both with their own full bathrooms. TV’s are included in all bedrooms fed by dish satellite. A large laundry room with washer, dryer, and lots of counter space comes in handy for those long stays. Cable Internet service/wifi is provided.
Dauphin Island is a great place for a laid back, family friendly vacation. No high rises and no stop lights! Enjoy long walks or doing nothing on the expansive local beach or take a short drive to the West End or East end beaches. Get some exercise or take in the scenes along 7 miles of bike paths. Rent a bike or kayak. Walk the trails in the bird sanctuary and explore Fort Gaines and the Estuarium. Bring your fishing gear or schedule a trip on a charter boat. Enjoy the casual atmosphere in locally owned restaurants or enjoy preparing your favorite meals in our large, well equipped kitchen.
If you want to venture out further, take the Ferry to Fort Morgan and explore the eastern shore beaches. The city of Mobile is a 45 minute drive, Biloxi 90 minutes, and New Orleans 2.5 hours with no shortage of things to do.
This is our personal beach get away and our hope is that many families and friends will create some memories here as if it were their own.
