Mountaintop Oasis: 4K Elev, Multi-ridge Views, Paved Access, 2 Story Stone FP

The vacation home is at 4000 feet elevation on over an acre with long range mountain views. You will enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, grilling on the large deck, or roasting marshmallows at the custom stone wood burning fire-pit. The deck has a gas fire pit for the family to sit around and enjoy drinks while you watch the ever changing sunrises and glow of sunsets.

The custom-built home has an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, a stone gas fireplace, gorgeous master bedroom on the main level with deck access, and two large bedrooms on the upper loft level. The lower level game floor has a billiard table, ping pong table, multi game arcade and pinball machines. Arcade basketball toss, two wall mounted TV’s, foosball table and a separate movie room. There are board games, DVD's movies and books are available, and fully stocked kitchen for those who like to cook.

Excellent stay
Home was everything as advertised. Excellent space for our family of 5. Game room was a hit with our 3 boys. Proximity to Waynesville great for easy access to run into town. Central to activities north into the Smokies and points south like Sliding Rock. Blue Ridge Parkway entrance minutes away. Would definitely book again! Thanks for the memories.

Mountain Top Oasis
We had a lovely stay at the Mountain Top Oasis. Our communication with the host was terrific and he was quick to answer any questions we had. The house was great!

The Perfect Place!
Mountaintop Oasis truly has all the comforts of home plus all the fun and amenities that make a vacation wonderful. The firepit provided wonderful mornings with coffee and sunrises, the kitchen allowed us to cook wonderful meals together as a family and the game room....well that was hours and hours of enjoyment, fun and laughter. The home is located in a great spot with easy access to all the wonderful sites in the Smokies! We will definitely choose this location again when visiting the area in the future!

Perfect!!
We loved every minute of our stay! The property was wonderful, the 1st ride up on the motorcycle was slightly terrifying, but after the 1st time it was a breeze ! We had some rainy days (perfect for game room fun or reading a book) & we had perfect weather days for riding the bike on the BRP or thru the Smokey Mountain National Forest (we even saw Elk!), Getting up early to see the beautiful sunrise was spectacular! Anything we needed for cooking was already in the kitchen (except food of course). Having the garage to keep the Truck AND the Motorcycle was a bonus. Easy to load & unload all of our travel "needs" with the master on the main floor. I have no doubt we will be back to visit!! Exceptional !!

Just What We Needed
We had a wonderful time at the Mountaintop Oasis. The house was very comfortable and was able to accomodate our party of 8. The kitchen was fully stocked, may want to bring a few extra paper towels, pam spray, baggies and any additional spices that you like, along with laundry detergent if you plan on washing clothes. Otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed! The game room was a plus, lots of fun games for everyone! The road going up to the house is very steep and narrow, but wasn't a problem for us, as we are use to driving in the mountains. Lots of fun things to do near by. We went to the Winchester Farm down the road, which was really cute and fun to hang with the animals. Spent the day at Catalochee Valley, got to see tons of elk and hike while looking at beautiful views and learning about the history of the Caldwell family. Visited downtown Waynesville, but little town with many shops and places to eat. We ate at the Boojum Brewery, which had really good beer and food and got dipped apples from Kilwins. Drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway to look at beautiful views and visited some of the waterfalls. We didn't want to leave and could have spent several more days at the Mountaintop Oasis. Had a great trip!

The master bed was unbelievably comfortable!! That’s the best I had slept in years. Everything was wonderful. Lots of extras in the kitchen & pantry to aid in cooking, that was very nice. The house was so warm, comfortable, & welcoming, I would 100% stay here again.

Overall great experience! Gameroom was a huge hit for all of us, but especially the teenagers. The beds are extremely comfortable and the house is very clean. I would highly recommend this house!

Truly a mountain top oasis
This house truly delivers. 4 nights is not long enough to take in all the views and amenities available. No better place to celebrate our anniversary and a birthday with our son, daughter & son-in-law and soon to be granddaughter. The bedrooms are huge so having space was no issue. The kitchen well stocked and the basement game area was much more than expected. But the views are the big attraction. Wonderful deck seating areas. The first drive up the mountain was a bit scary but no issues with any of our 2 wheel drive cars. Being paved and well maintained, the road is actually fun to drive. A perfect vacation spot that i think may become an annual tradition for our families.

This was a gorgeous property with amazing views! We absolutely loved every part of it. Special bonus: the mattress in the master bedroom was incredible and the water pressure was great! (Those are two things often missing in other locations). We highly recommend this!

This house is amazing. It has everything you need for a family vacation and more. The beds were super comfortable. It has so many options for entertainment that you don't need to even leave. We had a small hiccup at our house and it was handled immediately. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

We loved our visit to this home. The location is quiet with a great view. We've stayed in numerous rental homes and this one is outfitted as best as we've seen. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and the game room is awesome. Would definitely recommend and return for another visit.

This house was just as described. Very clean and full of fun amenities. It is surrounded by other houses but still feels private. The only possible “negatives” I could say is the water closet door is very squeaky and the media room only had one HDMI actually hooked to the tv which meant we had to switch it between sources. I would certainly stay again and highly recommend

This property had all it advertised. House was very clean, powered up and ready to go. The Keurig needs some help, but so does mine. :) Would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again if in the area.

It’s All That !!
This home is all that and more! My only complaint… we did not stay long enough. Very easy access, every imaginable kitchen item you could possibly need, very comfortable, clean and that game room is off the chart! Owner extremely nice and accommodating (had to switch dates at last minute— piece of cake). Nothing but praise here. Thank you so much for sharing this home.

Great home in the hills
We really enjoyed our stay at Mountaintop Oasis. The home is very spacious and well outfitted. The kitchen has many cooking utensils and pots/pans so if you choose to cook, you’ll have what you need. Plus, if you encounter a rainy day, this is where this home really shines. Downstairs there are two pinball games, a basketball game, a foosball table, a pool table and a ping pong table. In the evening, we sat outside by the propane fire table. What a great addition to a rental property; one we haven’t experienced at many VRBO rentals. The one thing that should be noted is you have to carry out your trash, and the location in Waynesville where you drop off the trash is closed on Sunday and Thursday, so plan your check out date accordingly. We enjoyed our stay so much, we have already booked a couple weeks next September.

Perfect Accommodations, View. and Location.
Greg was a superb host as he answered all our questions when choosing a place to stay and his connection details were without error. The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults. 4 of us had to work remotely for a few days and the internet service was great. The home had plenty of space to stretch out, rest, create some fabulous meals, take in the beautiful views, and have a blast with some family competition in the recreation room and back yard. The location was where we wanted to be with a mix of the natural sights and great places to eat. Our entire family had a fabulous time. Thank You!

Welcome to Mountaintop Oasis – established May 27th, 2016! We came to Western North Carolina on vacation and fell in love with the Smoky Mountains and the friendly people. After looking at properties all over the area, we found our dream home in Waynesville, and we would like to share it with you. We love the majesty of nature and enjoy outdoor activities including whitewater rafting, hiking and more.

Why they chose this property

Waynesville has a great mix of nature and culture. There are many nice restaurants, artisan shops, outdoor stores and brew pubs. We are five minutes from a Blue Ridge Parkway entrance that offers scenic drives and many spectacular views. Asheville is only 30 minutes east, and Bryson City where you can find The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and whitewater rafting is only 30 minutes west.

What makes this property unique

You will love the mountain views and sunrises in the morning. On a hot summer day, the air is nice and cool up at our home and balmy down below! We are less than a 10-minute drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway that offers many spectacular views, and a 10-to-15-minute drive to downtown Waynesville and Maggie Valley. Our home has everything you love about the Smoky Mountains: Majestic Mountain views, beautiful landscaping, an outdoor stone fireplace for family campfires, an indoor two-story gas fireplace, a gas fire pit on the deck, a fully outfitted kitchen, a hot tub and 1500 square feet of game room in the walkout basement. Enjoy the solitude, without being far out of the way.
