Our Tropical Paradise is oceanfront and conveniently located between historic Haleiwa and Waimea Bay at the world famous Chuns Reef beach. Great swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and surfing are right in the 'front yard.'

Our recently renovated home is fully furnished and offers panoramic ocean views and gorgeous sunsets from throughout the house and on the numerous lanais. You can watch the sea turtles and humpback whales swim in the warm clear turquoise blue water from your comfortable bed or the dining table.

The quiet tropical surroundings and soothing ocean sounds provide that relaxing experience found here on the Hawaiian Islands. - And a short 5 minute drive (or 2 mile walk) to historic Haleiwa Town offers art galleries, quaint shopping, and fine dining.

Amazing place in paradise!
Wonderful place to stay for a vacation. Beautiful view out the huge windows. Loved listening to the waves crash every night going to bed. So spacious! We had a family of 7-put the elderly downstairs in their own living quarters. Worked perfectly! Loved the extras like beach towels, snorkel gear, chairs, shampoo, badminton and plenty of pots, pans and Tupperware! Our favorite vacation rental by far!

A great place for the entire family!
If you want to escape the crowds of Waikiki, this house is perfect! We came with 13 adults and there was more than enough room. We enjoyed morning walks by the beach, turtles visited regularly, and quite possibly the best sunsets we have ever seen. The fenced in property and grassy backyard was perfect for my 2 year old. Bringing 13 adults to Hawaii can be a chore but Kelley's house made it easy! We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property, Terrific time.
We were 7 couples all family all over 21. 7 bedrooms 4bathrooms, though I would of liked to have another bathroom on the main floor, it was wonderful. Each floor had their own kitchen n living room, we did spend most of our time on the second floor. Location is pretty handy to a lot of places, a small quaint town near by. We were surprised to see a lot of chickens roaming free, even some came and hung around in our yard sometimes. We saw a lot of turtles come n go up n down our beach. Talking to folks there said we were on the best beach and the best place on the island. It was unusually hot and humid the week we were there.... 96*-98* with 100% humidity maybe 80ish at night.... wow.... Kelly (the owner) phoned me n asked if there was anything she could do make our stay more comfortable. No.. but thank you, that was very sweet of her, nothing she can do about the weather. It was our first time in Hawaii and the North Shore, Oahu was fabulous. The house was comfortable for all of us, sunsets were fabulous. I would highly recommend this property and this beach. The rental process went very smoothly and Kelly was very nice and personable. Kathy Jordan.

Nice Location and Beautiful Ocean View
Overall, we were happy with the location of the house. The view was lovely and private location. We thought the house had direct beach access but it was only a short walk away. We were very disappointed that the house did not have AC especially when we arrived it was hot and humid inside the house. Also, we were freaked-out that there were so many roaches in the house. Need to do a better job and getting rid of these nasty buggers!

This was a perfect location for the 15 of us! We felt like we all had our own space, yet we got to spend a lot of time together in the down time! Loved having coffee every morning outside listening to the waves! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Awesome Just Simply Awesome
This was one of the best family vacations we have ever had and a lot of that is due to this wonderful home that brought us all together. Great location, neighborhood and so close to some great beaches. If you don’t like waking up every worming to the sound of waves crashing up on the rocky shore then this is not the place for you. It has everything we wanted and the owners were so helpful. We will definitely book again if possible. Aloha

This was my first experience on VRBO and this property didn't disappoint. From the moment I walked in the view took my breath away. We spent every morning sitting on the lani looking at the ocean. We rented the whole house and had plenty of space for all of us. The beds were comfortable and we slept like babies listening to the ocean all night. Kelley and her husband provide the kitchen with plenty of dinnerware, cookware and storage containers. Parking is not a problem at this property as it has a large gated parking. We fit 5 cars with room to spare. The property is beautifully landscaped with a grass yard facing the ocean.. There are 2 beaches to walk to. We were blessed to see Sea turtles and a young monk seal. We made the climb down the rocks to see the turtles as they come in behind the house daily. Please respect the law and stay 10 feet away from them. You can enjoy their beauty from that distance. Having 2 washer and dryers on site makes for lighter packing.;-) With 4 bathrooms and everyone showering we never ran out of hot water and I loved the water pressure in the master bedroom bath upstairs. There are so many things to do on the North Shore that we never did Honolulu. We only went south to go to Paradise Cove Luau. Kelley provides lots of beach towels as well as bath towels. I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of Hawaii.

Could not have been a better VRBO experience for our group.
We were searching for a great place to take our staff for several days before the annual national dental meeting and this place more than met our expectations for all 13 of us. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the location on the island, views, proximity to he beach, and the overall ambience of the North Shore. We will try to book this property for a family trip.

Amazing Location for this Tropical Paradise Home
We stayed at this amazing tropical paradise home in May 2018 for a 7 night family reunion: my husband and I, 3 grown children + spouses, and 5 grandkids under 5. After reviewing almost every house in Hawaii—even a few nearby--we’re absolutely sure we made the right choice! The house is 30-40 mins from HNL off the main Kamehameha North Shore road on a quiet lane between Laniakea Beach (turtle beach) and Chun’s reef (2 doors down). We entered through a heavy sliding gate that closed off the property from any passersby’s (and made corralling kids worry free). This well-maintained house was super clean. We rented both stories (Units A and B). Beds were wonderfully comfortable (and we slept so soundly with the sound of the ocean waves); kitchens well stocked with all the needed pots, pans, plates, glasses, and utensils; and the sunsets… indescribable! There were ample towels, including beach towels for everyone; an outdoor shower; barbeques; two sets of washer/dryers; and lawn chairs, boogey boards, and beach toys left by others. Between the house and the ocean is a good-sized grassy lawn, surrounded by fencing and a hedge. The kids loved the freedom to run around—and we felt they were safe. Beyond the hedge is the rocky shoreline. With Keen’s, we rock-hopped two doors down to a small cove to be alone with turtles and tide pool critters; and enjoyed early morning walks along Chun’s Reef beach. May is a shoulder month. There were still 2-7 ft waves for beginner + surfers, but even near the house and at nearby Waimea Beach the water was calm enough for snorkeling and beach/water play. We also snorkeled at Shark’s Cove tide pools and Turtle Bay resort (gentle for kids). We’ve SCUBA and snorkeled all over—but the visibility and variety of sea critters was so amazing and accessible, we didn’t hassle with tanks this trip. Highlights included the Haleiwa food trucks and the nearby lemonade store; Dole Pineapple (fun, but touristy); and the Polynesian Cultural Center. They even sang and brought a birthday cake for our new 3 yr old during the buffet. Being military retirees, we went to Scofield Barracks Commissary, but there’s a Food Land about 10 minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...and understand the owners love of this property. We emailed a heads up about a couple of minor repair needs and were impressed that a handyman arrived as we were leaving. Would we rent this house again? Absolutely.

Amazing piece of paradise!
This property and management team were AMAZING! Our family had a wonderful time bonding on the deck gazing out to the ocean each day. The house was secluded and quiet, very clean and had everything our group of 11 people could possibly need. Beach toys for the kids, towels, etc. Only complaint was that the outdoor shower had no hot water and minimal pressure to do the job, so we just ended up using the garden hose to wash off the sand. We rented all three units but found that we used the bottom floor unit to hang out in as the elderly in our family didn't love the stairs to the upper level. If this property is available for our next trip, I wont find myself even looking for another spot to stay. We felt like we were “home” while we stayed. Thank you for helping make our stay great!

Best Place Ever!
This listing does not even begin to do this location justice. View from the lanai is just stunning. One of the best parts of each day is sipping coffee and watching the sun rise and then watching the sun set with a cold glass of wine. Just to the right of the house is Chun's Reef, a surfing hot spot. You can watch surfers and paddle boarders from dawn to dusk As several reviewers have said, this is a turtle mecca! Climb down the rocks behind the house and walk to the left and you will find a small cove just crawling with sea turtles (for those who don't know - Hawaii has very strict laws regarding their turtles - you must remain 6+ feet away from them. Be respectful of these giant beautiful creatures!) Chun's Reef is an excellent swimming beach, just a 2 houses away. You can see the pristine sandy beach in the pictures. Met several of the neighbors during our week here and they were all really nice. Now for the house. Super clean. Our upstairs neighbors left a few days before we did and we saw the housekeeper carrying a load of bedspreads downstairs to the laundry for cleaning. The biggest "ick" factor for most travelers are the bedspreads, but it appears this place actually washes them along with the sheets between each tenant. Big PLUS. Master bedroom gets tons of air circulation and the smaller rooms are pretty breezy. Portable fans are provided for those needing extra breeze. 2 charcoal grills are provided (burgers and hot dogs just taste so much better when grilled in Hawaii while looking at the ocean) and kitchen is well stocked. Now for the sites. Waimea Falls Park is close by - beautiful flora and fauna and swimming is allowed at the waterfall, providing conditions are safe for swimming - call ahead to make sure. It's a little humid in the valley so the addition of the golf cart a few years ago is a huge plus. They also have a farmer's market on Thurs afternoon. Veggies, fruits, jellies, soaps, etc. Bring cash as all vendors do not accept cards. Shark's Cove has excellent snorkeling with lots and lots of fish. Invest in an underwater digital camera and a pair of reef walkers. Great places for snorkling: Laniakea Beach (just a few houses from this location), Sharks Cove(10 min) and Turtle Bay Beach(15 min). Giovanni's shrimp truck in Kahuku - BEST DARN GARLIC SHRIMP EVER!

Outstanding Beauty!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about this property! It was the prefect vacation for our family. There were 16 of us. It was the prefect setting for our family, enough room, the beach at the backyard, turtles down the beach, close to everything and anything we wanted to do. Thank you so much for a memorable time!

Just as Wonderful in the Summer
We returned here in July, after staying in January 2009 (both times in the downstairs unit). While, of course, in the summer it's not possible to watch big waves and extraordinary surfing from the window, porch or backyard, the views are still wonderful, the sunsets still incredible, and the house still comfortable. The North Shore in the summer is just as great as in the winter. I look forward to going back.

Spectacular
We took our four children, 2 children in-law and 2 grandchildren over Spring Break. Kept the windows open the entire time. I can't get enough of the sound of the surf. There were turtles on the beach, whales playing in the distance and surfers almost 24/7. The property is the quintessential beach home. We noticed while on a beach walk that it is one of the few homes in the area with grass on the beach side. The 1-yr old and 3-yr old loved that. There is a gate to the property so parents only have to keep an eye on the ocean side for wandering children. We rented bikes and rode in to Haleiwa for the farmers market, beach park and lunch. We visited the Polynesian Cultural Center on our last day and found out that the ticket we had purchased allowed for multiple visits within a 2 week period. Our mistake for not paying closer attention, we would have liked to gone back. The babies loved the Dole Plantation and we all enjoyed our "Dole Whip". Our son rented a surf board in Haleiwa each day that we didn't do the "tourist" thing. It was very convenient. Of course Pearl Harbor was a requirement. We rotated with our kids in cooking meals and that worked out beautifully for everyone. If you did nothing but sit in the back yard and watched the show that nature and a group of devoted surfers put on for you it would be well worth the week. My husband got 2 books read in that back yard. It was cloudy in the evening the first few days we were there, but when we saw that first sunset it took our breaths away. We did go into Honolulu and did the drive by at Waikiki and the entire family was thrilled that we were not caught up in that "mess" and had our very own house and only had to share the beach with a few locals. If there is a downside the traffic on Kamehameha got pretty backed up on the weekends with all the turtle and surfer watchers. Since my husband and I are both from beach communities originally we knew this was to be expected.

Why they chose this property

We chose this home because the beauty, setting, and views were unbelievable. The oceanfront location with great snorkeling and surfing in the 'front yard' was a plus. We also figured our children would enjoy the tide pools in the front.

We liked the Chuns area as it was north of Haleiwa town by 2 miles yet easily accessible. And being more on the southern part of the North Shore meant a little better weather, less traffic, and easier access to town and the airport.

We looked at 62 properties and bought this one.

After all of these years, we're still in awe when we visit. We think that's special given the fact that we are coming from Del Mar, CA.
