Somewhere Between in the heart of Florence Ponte Vecchio
On the second floor of a beautiful building, Casa Foscolo stands out for the brightness of the rooms and the spaces that are easy to exploit. It has a double bedroom and a large and comfortable double sofa bed. The history of the structure is lost in time, retaining only some but indisputable traces of its past. Among these, the eighteenth-century marble inscription which testifies to the use of the building as an oratory of Santa Maria Maddalena in previous centuries. The apartment is equipped with every comfort allowing you to experience the center of Florence according to your needs, benefiting from all the nearby services (from the supermarket to the pharmacy, from the bars and restaurants to public transport) and the Renaissance and medieval splendor of the most beautiful city in the world. All apartments have a kitchen and one or more bathrooms. The upper floors can also be reached by lift in the building, plus you can take advantage of the laundry room with dryer and free satellite TV and Wi-Fi services. The Costa San Giorgio neighborhood is just outside Oltrarno, surrounded by some of the most spectacular places in the entire city. Ponte Vecchio - is the symbolic bridge of the city, it was the only one spared at the end of the Second World War. It offers a fascinating view of the river and houses in the characteristic shops overlooking the street and the back shop consisting of a cantilever ("sporto") directly on the river, some of the most famous jewelers in the world.

Sra. Serena is a gracious host and her apartment in Costa San Giorgio is perfectly located (Pitti side of the Arno) to easily reach all of the many sights. Comfortable and welcoming, it quickly felt like home.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Quick trip to Florence
The apartment was exactly as pictured and the location was perfect.
The washing machines are not exactly the easiest to use as location is in basement and instructions on the machines in Italian. However they were very nice to have access too.
The communication with the property owner was difficult. She was always quick to respond, but her responses are short and curt. This could be because of translation issues, but is off putting to a traveler.
If you have any mobility issues, be aware that the climb may be somewhat difficult but it was no problem for us. The apartment was clean, well appointed and very close to a grocery store. It’s just steps away from the Ponte Vecchio and Galileo’s house. We loved it! The shower is very small so it may be difficult for larger people to use.
Great location and apartment near Florence town center
I enjoyed my two weeks at this property. It was super clean and exactly as represented in the listing. I highly recommend it.

Sweet Italian Apartment
Convenient location in Florence. Apartment was clean and neat and well-equipped. There are a lot of steps which is not uncommon in Italy, but you should be aware. Bathroom shower is tiny, which is also typical for Italy stays. It was perfect for what we needed.
Casa Foscolo is truly the best kept secret in Florence :) I had a great stay with my wife and 2 kids. The property is located in a quiet side street minutes away from Pointe Vecchio. The river Arno's majestic beauty is 1 street away - and the Uffizi Academy is right across the bank on the other side.
The apartment was quaint but well equipped with a fully functional kitchen. The next big secret has to be the amazing (mini) super market a few mins away. We enjoyed fresh pasta and wine, dining to the sound of church bells - followed by strolls to our favorite gelato spots we spotted on our way back from various sight seeing trips.
The apartment manager, Serena was especially helpful - quick to attend to our texts in whatsapp - when we couldn't decipher how to get on to wifi :)
Small and beautiful, Foscolo and the walks around the side streets of Florence will remain fond memories of Italy for us.
