Stayed 5 nights in this enchanting house on our family vacation from Australia. The cozy property was well presented and maintained with a historical / religious touch. Would recommended.
the stay was just lovely. we had a few messy bits checking in and didn't hear from the property manager but the host was in touch with us and we treasured our stay.
Three of us stayed here for a moms get away and this house is perfect! We each had a comfy and super cute room. The house is clean and stocked. We walked to the plaza and canyon road and dinner many times. We will absolutely be staying here again for another girls trip!
Highly recommend this beautiful historical home! It was perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. Great location, loved the home and patio. Beds and linens were so comfortable. We would stay here again in a minute. Loved it!!
Historic and charming Adobe house. Very close to canyon road and within walking distance of the plaza. Delightful enclosed courtyard where we were visited by a raccoon. It was also nice that the house was supplied with toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels. These items don't normally seem to be supplied and it made us feel more welcome that they were in the home and there for our use. We really enjoyed staying there.
Great historical home. Great location near Canyon Road. The interior of the home was very comfortable. For anyone that is elderly, the first step into the home is very difficult and there are larger steps throughout the home. We had heavy rains and due to the historical old home we had a Water leaks in the house. The property manager was great.
Beautiful, historic home. Was perfect for me, my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 5 yr old grandson. Great location, next to Canyon Rd and a 15 minute stroll to the Plaza. Off the street parking for 2 vehicles!!! We loved our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your very charming home. The location was fantastic and was walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The home was also very clean. Our only complaint, which wasn’t even major, and I probably should’ve reached out to the property manager about, was that it got very hot in the house at night. We were nervous to adjust the thermometer in the living room as it said not to adjust below 71°. That being said, this was just a minor blip in our stay. The home was well appointed and had everything we needed.
A unique adobe near the plaza. A lovely stay walking distance to canyon road. We had a group of different ages and property worked really well. As in the description it is a beautiful old adobe and some steps into different rooms. The steps might not work if you have an elderly person in your group. Lovely host!
We are three friends who have been coming to Santa Fe for 20 years, and have stayed in a variety of historic homes. We found this home to be very well laid out, and cozy. All instructions from our host were easy to follow and everything was explained well. The decorations and amenities made our experience so lovely. We wished we could have used the courtyard but it was a bit too cool outside. Parking is easy, the location is great, convenient to walk downtown or Canyon road. My only caution is there are a lot of step ups and downs in this house (as in many historic adobes) -if have trouble walking, you may find this house a bit inconvenient. But otherwise, I highly recommend it.
great home and wonderful location especially if you want to participate in all the Canyon Road festivities over the Holidays. Very accommodating to the changes I needed.
Very comfortable, homey, uniquely decorated home. As has been stated, great, central location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—home and Santa Fe. We are in our 70’s and had no problem with maneuvering steps from one room to another. Might be a bit of a challenge if someone has mobility issues.
This property had such history and uniqueness!! We loved staying so close to everything while still being quite in the evenings. The property manager dropped by to check and make sure we had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and we had some great chats in the living room!!
This is the second time we've stayed in this lovely home. We were a mom and dad with our adult children, their spouses, one toddler, and two infants. The whole house is well-appointed, the kitchen is full of everything you'd need, and the living room is large and was perfect for kids and adults alike. The master bedroom connects to the room with the daybed, and the doors in the whole house make for open or closed spaces in clever ways. And in every corner you'll find gorgeous art! We didn't have time to spend in the courtyard, but we will next time! If you're looking for a charming house with 2 parking spaces close to Canyon Rd and downtown, stay here!
We absolutely loved this house! It was even better than I expected. I loved all of the little details around the house, and it was the perfect size home for our family of five. Great location as well. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
This was our first trip to Santa Fe. We LOVED our stay at Casa de Alamo! This historic adorable adobe home was perfect for our group. The Santa Fe style, colors, features, tiles, decorations set the tone for our very enjoyable stay. EVERY room holds unique decorative treasures, and the details were just terrific. The parking was very easy. The location is unbeatable - like two blocks from Canyon Road, and maybe 10 minutes to the plaza. Nestled in a great location!

We are a family of 6 from Austin, Texas! We fell in love with the beauty of New Mexico in general and Santa Fe in particular! We find the city unique to New Mexico as Austin is to Texas... It's our "home away from home"!
Why they chose this property
We love our home because its like stepping back in time in a sense. The house was built in the 1800's so it charm remains and somehow transports you back in time and you get a feel for the way the original Garcia family lived in this sweet little house. It's updated with modern furnishings but the charm of the house still remains. We call it our little jewel box. Theres so much to discover around every corner from the artists original paintings in the window casing to the dancing ladies pressed into the door frame to what we think was a religious tabernacle in the hallway where the family once worshiped. We know you will enjoy this home as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Our home is tucked a block off of Canyon Road..only a short stroll from our front door but away from all of the hustle and bustle. Subscriptions coffee shop is just around the corner. It's one of the most popular coffee shops in town with a casual atmosphere and relaxed vibe.
