Enjoy Life on the Lazy River!! Located on a quiet, private road across from the East Branch river with a short walking trail at the end of the road and a swimming hole easy walking distance. Enjoy the thrilling area attractions during the day then retreat to your private home with spacious deck and Fire pit for friends and family. Quiet private road, Great for morning walks (with your dog and coffee). Beds include queen size, full size bed, bunks, with additional futon for overflow. Perfect for family or two, or group of friends. Come enjoy, Story Land, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, skiing, or just relaxing on the deck with the Hummingbirds by the river. A secluded setting, yet so close to everything. The Deck overlooks the River and is our favorite place in summer and Fall to start our day , enjoying a cup of coffee with our dog or to wind down with a glass of wine in the evening watching the sun set behind the mountains. Ledges Brewery is a 2 mile drive from our home, it has fast fast become our favorite hang out. The soothing sound and sight of the river does wonders for our soul. The Hummingbirds are delightful both morning and evening. You must be 25 years old to rent this house.

Ski trip

Very comfortable stay! Plenty of room for 2 families. Very spacious and well stocked kitchen. Great location near many ski resorts ! Private location for walks with the dog. Would love to check this place out in the summer. Host was very responsive.

Relaxing view on the Saco River

My husband and I stayed with my mother and two dogs. Brian and Shirley were very helpful and communicative. They even left us welcome gifts. The Intervale Ale was enjoyed. And we appreciated the calendar of Shirley’s photography. Listening to the sound of the Saco River and the walking trail was therapeutic. The dogs loved it! Their home was comfortable and dog friendly. The only recommendation we have is to improve the lighting in the kitchen and bathroom next to the laundry. But it was no big deal. Lovely, secluded area

The property is as advertised and well maintained. The house was clean and everything was in good working order. We enjoyed our stay here and loved the area. The owner reached out early and was pleasant. The issue of what to do with our garbage was our only hiccup. We did not know the policy until after we booked and we were not allowed to drop it off at the transfer station so we had to bring it home in our car.

Beautiful

The property is as described, everything we needed was supplied. Super clean, owner very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Very quite and secluded with the river right in front of property and a great hidden swimming hole down the street. I would recommend a stay here. We will be back for sure

Peaceful Retreat

This home was very comfortable and clean. It has all the necessities and is well situated in the White Mountains. Easy to get to shopping, breweries and mountains. The flowing river provided an extra special element to the home.

Summer getaway

Location Terrific!

Our family loved our stay at this cozy cabin by the creek. It served as home base as we went out hiking each day., and yet close to dining, Mount Washington, and the shops in North Conway. The bed my husband & I were in was more firm than we are accustomed to. The kitchen was well-stocked, it was evident this is a home and not just square feet to rent out. Brian was easy to work with. Overall a good experience in Intervale!

Relaxing Home in Perfect Location

This was our 1st time renting a house and what a wonderful experience!! We were so happy to find a rental so close to North Conway and would allow us to bring our dog. Everything went amazing. The owners had great communication with us from booking to leaving. The house is amazing ! You can tell they take pride in their property- and hosting it to guests. I could go on and on- but with 2 Kids (12/9) and a baby- (6months) and our dog hank-- we had the best time in this amazing house/location and hosts. Thank you so much for the accomodations and amzing vacation that will last lifetimes with our family.

Autumn Vacation

Perfect getaway spot. We rented for the month of September and loved it so much, we extended a week. The house was in great shape and had everything we needed. It's a short drive to grab groceries, shop, go to dinner or check out the local attractions. Sitting on the deck listening to the river was very relaxing. I highly recommend this home and can't wait to go back next year!

Beautiful Location!

This vacation home is in a beautiful spot in Intervale. There were so many great river spots for exploring and swimming and a great wooded trail at the end of the private street. The home has a great deck overlooking the river and there were hummingbirds that came to visit frequently. The home is beautiful and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Most of our time was spent outside but our children and dog loved the house. I definitely recommend this home to anyone that enjoys this area of New Hampshire, it is a short drive to Diana's Baths and other attractions. You will enjoy being by this beautiful river.

Family summer vacation

Thank you for a lovely week in NH. The house was exactly as described, clean and comfortable. The kids had a blast exploring the river and the quiet street was great for letting them ride their bikes as well. We also found the local swimming hole, which was fantastic!. Wonderful spot on the river

About 15 minutes from North Conway downtown, this property is close enough to shops and restaurants but far enough away to feel secluded in the mountains. The large deck overlooking the river was very relaxing. The cabin itself is nice and updated. If you have a dog, this place is for you. They have a dog bed and toy bin! Local swimming hole was the highlight of our stay. Definitely recommend.

Perfect Stay/Location

The hosts were great, easy to communicate with and they even left us gifts upon arrival (even for the puppy). The house was beautiful and very spacious, and located very close to town with all the restaurants and shops. Being able to see and hear the river from the deck was our favorite part.

We had a great time staying at your house. It was clean, beautiful and really the most perfect location. We would only recommend 2 things, a number to call in case you lose power (we lost it twice, no big deal) and please put better lighting in the bathroom next to washer and dryer. Other than that it was amazing!!!! Thank you!

Couples getaway

Great central location within an hours drive of absolutely anything that New Hampshire has to offer. The house has a quiet and serene atmosphere by the river and down a private dead end road. The house is well equipped with anything you might need during your stay for you or your furry family members. The owners were very welcoming and responsive. Although it was just my wife and I, there was plenty of bed space to accommodate larger families. The beds will be great for anyone who enjoys a firmer mattress. Thicker mattress toppers might helpful for guests who prefer a softer stay. Overall it was a perfect getaway with plenty of adventure and relaxation!

Not bad, but not great

We were excited to stay here this summer. Camps were mostly canceled and we thought our kids would love playing in the nearby river. The positives are that the home has a great location, is private and has ample space (we were a family of 6 with our 2 dogs). Everyone had a bed. Unfortunately, when we arrived the house was not very clean. There were smudges all over the front door, the furniture and carpet had a lot of dog hair, we only saw 1 vacuum and 1 dust buster, and the vacuum was ancient and barely worked. There were cobwebs in all the corners, and dead bugs in every windowsill. The fridge clearly is not cleaned out in between visitors (I threw away a condiment bottle that expired in 2012, and the shelves had spills on them.) The dishwasher doesn't work that great, and dishes with food still stuck on them had been stacked back on the shelves. It would be disappointing in normal times, but during COVID, it was really upsetting to come into a space knowing how little care went into cleaning after the last group checked out. Other than that, one of the downstairs bedrooms smelled very musty, there was a small dehumidifier you had to keep running at all times to keep it from getting too mildewy (we emptied 2-3x per day), the tile in the downstairs shower was falling off, tons of light bulbs were out and the beds were extra firm and uncomfortable. The one a/c unit and ceiling fan do not make an impact on hot days so it was uncomfortably hot! The river is the highlight, but be aware that it is a steep ledge you have to climb down to get to the river. It was ok for my kids once we had water shoes, but from looking at the picture, we thought it looked like the river was level with the road and would be more accessible. The owner left a manual that said a $5/bag charge would apply to trash left behind. We went to the dump the day before checkout, but on the last day checkout is at 11 and the dump doesn't open until 12. You can't go without a sticker, and you have to return the sticker to the house after you go to the dump. We thought it would be easier to pay for the last day's trash, but when I texted the owner to tell them this, they told me that it was a $50 min. When I told them that it didn't say that in the manual they just said the manual was out of date (meanwhile the VRBO policies don't say you have to take trash away). The owner did take my feedback about improving cleaning so hopefully others will have a better experience.

Quiet and convenient

We stayed here for our February ski trip. The house was comfortable and well equipped. Communication with the owner was excellent. The quiet dirt road neighborhood off the beaten path was a perfect wooded retreat. It was everything we expected and more. I would recommend it for anyone wanting a quintessential NH experience.

Best getaway for a large family

The location of this home is amazing! Far enough away from everything for privacy, yet close enough to everything to be able to fully enjoy the mountains and waterfalls. The house has plenty of room for our 5 daughters, granddaughter and 3 dogs. We loved the hummingbirds that visit daily. And sticking my achy feet in the rushing cold river water at the end of the day was a big plus.

August family vacation

Recently stayed with my brother, his wife and my 2 adult children. The location is fantastic, loved spending time on the deck overlooking the river. Close to hiking, biking and any outdoor activity you wish to do. House could have used a slight clean up prior to our arrival, but to no fault of the owners. It was minor, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Swimming holes down the road definitely worth checking out. Garbage policy a bit complicated, but understand it’s the location and the policy that drives it. Highly recommend, and our terrier dog does too! We live in Portsmouth, NH, graduates of UNH, with our Chinook, Arthur and Golden retriever Bjornebaer( we can't keep her out of the river out front) We are both avid outdoor enthusiasts. We love all the White Mountains have to offer winter, spring, summer, fall.

Why they chose this property

It's been our dream to have a home in the White Mountains to be able to come up with our dogs to explore and get to know the local area. Intervale, Jackson, Bartlett, and North Conway have so much to offer from great local restaurants, abundance of trails, scenery, swimming holes (be sure to bring watershoes!), countless fun local attractions, shopping at the outlets or small boutique shops, up close and personal with the local wildlife. Our home is so close to them all. We have grown fond of enjoying a glass of wine on our deck at the end of the day, overlooking the east branch river as the sun sets behind the ridge with hummingbirds zooming by . We are in awe of the local attractions from trails to restaurants to shopping treasures that we discover each time we are here.
On cold nights we are warmed by the gas stove. There are plenty of seats at the large dining room table for dinner or a puzzle at the end of the day. We are happy to share our home for you to make your own memories.
