We enjoyed spending our days in this nice garden with a infinity view pool looking for peacocks, monitor lizards (who were even more afraid of a small dog), monkeys and several birds... Our food was delicious (and Venure the young chief, could manage our vegan diet very well).
Ajith was looking for us and our child like a brother. Both guys were very respectful and kind all the time trying to solve any situation.
We hope to visit the Stone Well Garden again soon. The description is very correct - this is a nice old garden which makes you feel secure in kind of tropical forest :)

About the host

Love traveling, the movies, music and books. Love food of all types. Melbourne has the best food scene - so multicultural. Am an Aussie with a Sri Lankan background. I have been house hunting on holidays in Sri Lanka and fell in love with the villa, gardens and surrounds in Hikkaduwa and bought it in 2009. It's been a great passion of mine since - my grand design!
Why they chose this property
The villa and grounds are beautiful with monkeys visiting occasionally and lots of birdlife. We have peacocks who visit property frequently from the nearby rice paddies. It's a tranquil place - close to the hustle and bustle of Hikkaduwa.
What makes this property unique
You have the best of both worlds - the bars and cafes and night life of Hikkaduwa and a nature retreat to escape to.
