The apartment was very clean and is in the heart of downtown. We enjoyed our stay and the convenience to the downtown businesses. We will definitely stay here again.
This is our second time here. The hosts are great about on time communication, and the location in quiet Zumbrota is perfect. We're only a half hour from Rochester, Red Wing, or Faribault, so it makes a great central location for day trips when we're not enjoying the local businesses in Zumbrota. Best perk is having a grocery store with a Caribou Coffee just a short walk away!
Zumbrota has so many unique boutiques to shop. A very safe small town vibe. Rental was super clean, spacious and very comfortable. It has many useful amenities. Owners provided coffee, bottled water and a delicious snack. We've stayed here before and will stay again!! Thank you!! Highly recommend!
We loved our stay and are sad to leave! We enjoyed the comfort, peace, and convenient access to anything we needed. The near proximity of the covered bridge and park provided a refreshing outing. The town and surrounds are beautiful and everyone we met was warm and welcoming. Thank you so much!
We were moving and needed a place to stay for 2 nights while the packing was going on. Able to relax...street noise during day is a little loud, but not annoying. It's on Main Street. Vibrant little town.
We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect solution for us. Since part of the living room actually closes off behind two closed doors, we essentially had two bedrooms, one for our little one to sleep in and one for us. We were able to move around the apartment after our little one was asleep. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed to live comfortably for the weekend, we packed most of our meals so we didn't have to go out for every meal and it worked out well. If you're staying during the cold months, the rooms get quite cold at night so pack extra layers and if you have a little one, you may consider a humidifier. The furnace made the air very dry. Also, if you have a little one, you will have to figure out how to block off the furnace and you may need to consider where they will eat. The table is high top and the chairs are tall and skinny so portable high chairs won't work. We ended up setting her up in her portable high chair on the floor. Thank you!
While the downtown traffic was busier than we expected, the space felt both homey and intriguing with potential to be extraordinary. Stunning large windows. Within walking distance of cafes, shopping, groceries & historic covered bridge (under renovation in late 2019). Family and pet friendly was a plus.
The property was in an older building in Zumbrota. It is set up as an apartment. We entered very late and were out early so we didn't get to enjoy the town.
Booked last minute when other accommodations fell through and had a great stay. The apartment fit our family of four. Loved that our dog could stay too.
Loved this property. We were looking for something close to all of the activities for Covered Bridge Fest and this was perfect! It was very clean, well appointed and had all of the vintage vibes we like. Would definitely recommend .

Awesome Experience
Dave and Roxanne were great hosts. Full kitchen w/laundry if you were staying for awhile. Beautiful building and town. We brought our dog, Mazzy, who had a GREAT time playing with their dog, Guy. We took a walk down to the park and ate at the Coffee Mill Cafe. Great home cooked food. I would definitely recommend this host. Thank you, until we visit again!

This was our second stay at the Anderson Block apartments and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area. Location and amenities are just perfect.

Great find!
The apartment was perfect! It was clean and convenient. This is a historic building with gorgeous wood trim, wood floors, and massive pocketing doors that can close off one end of the living room (with a couch and futon) from the rest of the apartment for additional guests. From a well appointed kitchen to an iron/board, and hair dryer, there is nothing you will miss.

About the host
Hosted by David Zimmerman and Roxanne Bartsh
Hi Folks, we are your hosts, Dave and Roxanne. We purchased this building in 2001. Dave has been working on renovation of this building and Roxanne owns Wild Ginger Boutique which is on the first floor of the building.
Why they chose this property
We are right downtown Zumbrota. Downstairs is Wild Ginger Boutique (Roxanne's shop). You will be within a short walk from all the great downtown shopping, the State Theatre, restaurants, grocery store, post office, the Covered Bridge Park and historic covered bridge, and the Goodhue Pioneer bike trail. If are going through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and need a place to stay why not stay in a peaceful small community just 30 minutes for Mayo Clinic.
What makes this property unique
The suite has the comforts of home with a full kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom.
