About this property

We rent this studio apartment for short tourist stays. We normally ask for a minimum stay of three days. The apartment is located on the second floor (with elevator) of a building located in the historic centre of Bologna, not far from the main square (Piazza Maggiore). Windows face a wide area of private backyards, so it quiet by night. The apartment offers one single room with all the necessary: a kitchenette, well equipped to prepare any kind of meal with a four ring stove, a table with four chairs, a double bed (sofa bed permanently kept open with normal queen size mattress), some other pieces of furniture. The bathroom has the basin, wc, bidet and bath. Even if not so wide our place has five windows! Maybe the best feature is the panorama over the rooftops of the historic centre.

Central Bologna apartment

I loved staying in this apartment. It is compact, comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Bologna. The building is secure and has a lift. As a solo traveller I felt very safe. The sofa bed was comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with a hot plate if you need to cook. Communication with Carlotta was excellent and she was waiting for me at 9pm after my delayed flight finally arrived. She responded quickly to all enquires. I would happily stay here again.

Brilliant location and apartment

Ca di Vale Apt. for Two in Bologna

My wife and I are both 67yrs. old and avid walkers. We took one bus from the airport to Ca di Vale, and one taxi back to airport two weeks later. In between we were able to walk from one end to the other of the old city. All the sights, parks, museums, shops, markets, churches, university, and gardens were walkable and, when we tired of the city, so were the quiet hills outside Bologna. The apt. was very secure and quiet, back from the street with its own courtyard. One night we returned at 2am from a jazz club, and the streets were still full of people and it was safe. The apt. was clean and description accurate for layout facilities etc. No stove to bake bread, but we ate fresh pasta and pizza from just down the street. There are good restaurants nearby, gelato shops, and coffee/wine bars on every block. We took a train to Rimini and back for a day trip. It was perfect for two people and we would return again. Summer home base for Italian vacation

Our family stayed two weeks at Ca'di Vale last summer. The apartment was in excellent condition - clean, comfortable, well-maintained, safe and centrally located. It is small, but there were two of us and a baby so we didn't need much room. The couch that folds out into a sleeper sofa is comfortable with a good mattress. As a matter of fact, we tried to find the name of the manufacturer so we could get the same mattress for our sleeper sofa at home. The kitchen is minimal but has everything you need for a short stay. There is not an oven but we did not plan on baking while on vacation, anyway. We walked just about everywhere - to the market, coffee shop, restaurants.... It is a couple of kilometers to the train station. The only time we took a taxi was if we arrived by train late at night. We used Ca'di Vale as a home base for our travels to other parts of Italy. It made sense for us, with a baby, to make it our second home and take day trips from there. Claudio, the owner, was gracious and helpful in giving us directions and supplying us with everything we needed. The only thing I would do differently next time is go in the spring or fall. It got quite hot while we were there in July.

Perfect for a getaway in beautiful Bologna.

Great little apartment in a nice central part of beautiful Bologna. Paolo and Carlotta are lovely hosts and easy to get into contact with if needed. Overall, a nice and simple way to enjoy Bologna with your partner.

Estancia en Bolonia nevada, en "Ca" di Vale"

Hemos pasado cinco días en "Ca" di Vale muy agradables. El apartamento está cerca del centro, es cómodo, muy limpio y aunque no es muy grande, es espacioso, alegre y funcional. Está muy bien caldeado, ya que hizo mucho frío y nos nevó!! La cocina viene justa para preparar desayunos y poco más, pero suficiente, porque es pequeña y el hornito es diminuto, faltaría un microondas. El silencio y la privacidad es lo mejor, parece que no estás en una gran ciudad, muy relajante y las vistas nevadas de la ventana, preciosas! Carlota nos recibió muy atenta, informándonos de la zona y de los restaurantes... probamos la pizzería Totó, que nos encantó, muy buen servicio y muy buenas las pizzas y económicas. No nos gustó tanto la trattoria Fantoni, el servicio lento, más caro y no tan amables. También nos gestionó muy amablemente el taxi para el regreso. Recomiendo el apartamento para una persona o pareja por su ubicación y comodidad. Su proximidad al centro ( 10 minutos) y a la estación (andando 20 minutos) y la posibilidad de comprar en un Carrefour Express muy próximo. La única pega fue la presión del agua caliente de la ducha, pero sin importancia!! Muchas gracias por todas las atenciones.

Nice appartement near to the center of Bologna

We have had a nice stay and the appartement was clean and cosy. It is quiet and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is big enough for two persons but the fridge is very small and has to be called minibar. Our tip to the owners is to reorganize the furnishing of the apartment to make space for a normal sized fridge. Surely in the summermonths it is nessessary to have enough space for keeping food cool and fresh. When you stay longer than a couple of days you could get the same problem as we had. The appartment is near to the center of Bologna. Finding a parkingspace for a car is difficult but not impossible if you are patient. Without a car you can take a taxi from the airport for only €15. It would be nice if the owners left as a extra service some recent information about Bologna. We found only some old leaflets. Close to the appartement is a very nice bakery where you can get lovely fresh cornetti for your breakfast. We felt in love with Bologna and surely we'll come back.

Une adresse idéale pour passer Noêl à Bologne

Un studio avec toutes les commodités, bien chauffé et chaleureux, très bien meublé et décoré (décoration de Noël comprise !) et en plein centre ville ! Avec en plus, à quelques mètres de là, une des meilleures boulangeries de la ville (ne pas manquer ses panettones). Un séjour à recommander. Francine (France)

Short holiday in Bologna.

We spent three nights in Bologna, staying in Casa di Vale. The property was just the same as described; good location - in walking distance to Piazza Maggiore (about 15 minutes), and even to the central station - it took us 25 minutes. A bus stop - several meters form the house - five stops to central station with line 21. We got detailed information and instructions from Paolo how to reach the property which we found really helpful. It was very kind we could check - in earlier than it is practised and started exploring the city shortly after arrival.The studio was very clean, nice furnished, a kitchen unit equipped enough - everything what we needed; for guests comfort - a lift in the building. Thank you Paolo for pleasant stay and great impressions from Bologna!

Bellissima esperienza a Ca' di Vale

Siamo stati 3 giorni a Ca' di Vale e ci siamo trovati meravigliosamente bene. L'appartamento è molto bello, il letto molto confortevole e la casa fresca. Ha dei bellissimi affacci, e di un silenzio assoluto e prezioso in una delle zone più interessanti di bologna. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Prima Ort für einen Stadturlaub.

Ich war fast 2 Wochen in der Wohnung und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kommt schnell zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten Bolognas. Es gibt Läden und Restaurants in der Nähe und die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte beispielsweise einmal Probleme mit dem heißen Wasser - war ruckzuck aus der Welt.
