Christmas Break

We had a fabulous time, the staff at Melfort ensure their visitors have a lovely break. The cottage and grounds are always immaculate and there is so much to do in Argyll and Bute. We would thoroughly recommend the resort and the area.

Perfect holiday cottage

Old Haybarn is centrally placed and has easy access to the facilities of the village. The cottage layout works very well - the kitchen is light and bright and the upstairs sitting room is cosy with the wood panelling and log burner. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms - would recommend!

Feedback and suggestions from Yacoob Family and Friends on Old Haybarn at Melfort Village

All great at the cottage and we enjoyed our stay as usual. We would like to suggest the following relatively low cost maintenance tasks to be addressed: 1. The floor boards upstairs in lounge and bedroom are very squeaky at several points. This really disturbs persons sleeping in the 2 bedrooms below. Remedy should be relatively simple as was done in Haybarn cottage several years ago. 2. The shower door in downstairs bathroom needs attention 3. A good garlic press and a salad spinner would be welcome additions to the great kitchen.

Great stay

Great stay ,dogs made extremely welcome , shower of herring great meals. Only slight criticism got lost every time we went on their walks round about ,either some signage or better directions as we don't normally find this a problem

Mini break with mum

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay but wish it had been for longer! Facilities even better than described as there was a walk in shower downstairs. Exactly what we required. Perhaps updated information about this put on website. Weather fantastic and we were able to take advantage of the spectacular countryside and views! Swimming pool and changing area spotlessly clean

Just perfect

This was our second visit to Melfort Village and a week of gloriously sunny weather made it one of the best holidays we have ever had. The scenery of the Argyll coast and the islands is stunning and the village is a wonderful base. The cottages are superbly comfortable and very well equipped and the whole atmosphere of the place is relaxed and friendly. Food in the on-site restaurant is good and there are plenty of local pubs and restaurants serving great meals. This is very much our perfect holiday destination and we are booked in again for a week in November

Melfort wins Gold

Once again Melfort takes first prize. The attention to care, service and standards ensured that our stay was wholly enjoyable. The appointment of Kat and her husband for the Restaurant was great with her personality, efficiency and qualitative food at reasonable prices adding to the already qualitative package. A big thank you to Linda and all her colleagues. Ian & Marilyn
