Beautiful clean property
Thre landlord was wonderful and helpful with the check in process. The property was clean and well stocked kitchen for everything you need. A great location for a quiet space but only a little walk into the local town. Would definitely stay there again.

Weekend away with Siblings
We are a large family and myself and my brothers and sisters have a weekend away once a year. So all we need is somewhere that is clean, warm and welcoming the Granary fitted the bill perfectly. We had one day in the Forest of Dean and did the sculpture trail. And one day Fishing at Elton fishery. A great time was had by all.

Beautiful location-pool bonus
The house was pretty. Lots of dated furniture and worn kitchen and bathroom.. All of it is functional and clean, so not a problem. I would suggest the house undergoes a good upgrade for a more comfortable stay, especially the beds! Pool was nice to use- thought it was included in the price but was asked to pay £45 separately. Some clarity on that is needed. Overall good base to explore the Wye valley.

Great cottage and superb outside spaces (pool, tennis court and gardens for kids to run around), but a bit run down inside (e.g. bathrooms, lack of extractor fans and windows). No issue if weather good, but not great if stuck inside. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is a lovely old cottage within easy reach of so many interesting places, just outside Newent which has a charm of its own (and a Vineyard), plenty of coffee shops and independent shops full of friendly folk. Newent even has a Lake you can stretch your legs around should you feel the need for exercise. The Forest of Dean is an interesting and beautiful place to visit and Gloucester is within easy reach. The Old Granary is ‘old’ but local gossip told me the owners are still in the process of improving it but it was comfortable, clean and warm with a log burner fire and there is a tennis court and swimming pool and the property is next to The Farmhouse should you have a bigger group of people to house. It’s easy to find when you locate the turning that says ‘not suitable for heavy vehicles’ at the end of the 30mph limit in Culver Street and the turning into the property along Boulsdon Lane is there when you know but the ‘no parking’ ‘no turning’ signs could put you off and have you driving past. Suffice to say it’s the second house along the lane. No worries with parking as there is a big gravel area. We struggled with the oven but couldn’t find instructions - however the combined might of several minds got it to work after a fashion. We had a great time there and would book it again.

Overall good, stressful organising
I particularly liked the kitchen diner and living room. Showers were weak. Very stressful having to do it all on line with a big company. I would have liked to have spoken to the property manager from the time of booking

A lovely place to stay.
A lovely place to stay. Quiet but with good pubs / shops near by. Walking or cycling in the Forest of Dean not far away. Very comfortable but could be fantastic with some updating.

The most lovely location and grounds.
The most lovely location and grounds. The cottage has a lovely feel to it / very homely and cosy. And it was very clean. Some of the fixtures and furniture are dated and in some cases in need of update (bathroom/showers/sofa) - but in terms of value for money it was great. The gardens are lovely and the pool and little Pool house with bar and fridge really made it for us as the weather was hot. (Shared with neighbour). Very tranquil spot - but not remote just need a car. All in all a lovely stay

Loved our stay at the Old Granary and would recommend staying there. The Old Granary could do with refurbishing but on the whole had everything you need in a holiday let.
