We loved our stay here, and this was our second time! the house is spacious, even more then it looks online. the Garden was a dream for us and our boys, space to run around and direct access to the river when it was low. The area is so quiet which we also love!

We loved Elm Cottage and will return next year all being well.
We loved Elm Cottage and will return next year all being well. The location was just what we needed after a recent bereavement as there were plenty of walks and the views were wonderful. The cottage is well supplied with almost everything. It was joyful to sit in front of an open fire once more and this we did after supper each evening. It is such a lovely cottage and I cannot fault it. The kitchen is well equipped, the space in the cottage is wonderful. We felt very sorry to leave and wished that we had booked two weeks or at least ten days. The weather was typically British but didn't prevent us from walking. Thank you so much for letting us share your lovely home. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Wonderful location, very remote with the added bonus (for us) no mobile phone signal.
Wonderful location, very remote with the added bonus (for us) no mobile phone signal. The only noise is from the sheep and the babbling brook at the bottom of the garden.

Lovely spacious cottage located in a beautiful setting.
Lovely spacious cottage located in a beautiful setting. The cottage is very well equipped for a relaxing holiday. It is very spacious than it looks from outside. Quiet scenic neighborhood, Wenseleydale Creamery is not far from the cottage. The view from the bed rooms is breath taking. We will definitely return again.

We always holiday in lovely cottages but this was, by far, our favourite.
We always holiday in lovely cottages but this was, by far, our favourite. The "get away from it all" location is stunning, without being too far away from Hawes, which had all we needed. We arrived to find a warm, immaculate home from home, with everything we could have possibly needed and more. We stayed during a storm in which we didn't manage to get out on the worst day but we had a wonderfully cosy family day sat in front of the open fire playing games and looking through the amazing book collection! The house is lovely and spacious, we were a party of 3 generations and there was so much room for everyone. With walks from the door this was the perfect place for the perfect long weekend and we can not wait to return.

excellent again -everything as last year -surfaces a little dusty but perhaps to be expected if unused for over a month.Slight problems with the garage combination lock-a bit stiff .For oldies like us the tech stuff to do with the tv is a bit daunting but we overcame some of it .Nice to have fresh milk and biscuits when we arrived. Many thanks

Elm cottage is one of the mots comfortable holiday cottages we've ever stayed in.
Elm cottage is one of the mots comfortable holiday cottages we've ever stayed in. It is clearly a much-loved holiday home for it's lucky owners, and as such it's cosy and well-lived in, and homely and just lovely. It doesn't have smart furniture and features and kitchen appliances that you dare not touch. It has wonderful homely furniture that you'd have in your own house. Furniture that's "seen life" it may be a bit battered, but it's all the better for that. The cottage also has a fantastic garden with great views and its own stream. It's a big spacious cottage with plenty of room to stretch out, but it's also very warm and it has everything you'll need (except a nearby pub) for a relaxing holiday. It just needs a cosy bench for the patio, then it would be perfect.
