Another lovely stay at the Stables.

Another lovely stay at the Stables. Close to Sheringham and stunning beaches, great for walking our four legged friends. The matress in the main bedroom could do with replacing in our opinion.

Lovely cottage, quiet and secluded which is ideal for us.

Lovely cottage, quiet and secluded which is ideal for us. We found the roads to get there a bit scary to start with as they are so narrow, but found that by turning left outside the cottages they were a bit wider and we didn’t mind the slightly longer journey to the main road. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed to cook in the evening and all the kitchen appliances were easy to work. The area has some lovely places to visit and is generally dog friendly. A good place to visit for a quiet comfortable weeks holiday!

The cottage was clean, comfortable and very nice accommodation. Ideal for two people and our two small dogs. The owners were very pleasant helpful and there were excellent facilities for dogs, who were made welcome. Having a laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier was a bonus and made it easy to quickly wash out clothes during our stay. We are looking forward to going to the cottage again next year. Sheringham, Cromer, Holt and various other local towns are within easy reach, beautiful sandy beaches and places of interest to visit. It was a very enjoyable holiday.

We had a wonderful week at The Stables.

We had a wonderful week at The Stables. Beautiful countryside surrounds the cottage and it is peaceful and very quiet. Great location for Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park, all National Trust and the beautiful coastline just a few miles away. The cottage is warm and comfortable and a delight to come back to after a day out. Great hosts and added extras left for our arrival. All in all, we are looking forward to returning to The Stables or The Hay Loft soon.

The Stables is quite simply one of the best, most homely cottages we've ever stayed at.

The Stables is quite simply one of the best, most homely cottages we've ever stayed at. Clean, superbly-equipped and welcoming, we'd unreservedly recommend this fine cottage 100%. It's located on a wonderfully quiet, peaceful farm in the rural heart of north Norfolk. We had a pigeon nesting in the wood store just feet away while tawny owls called out as they hunted in the black of night and the crack of dawn. Surrounded by lovely countryside, the Stables is a fantastic base for touring the cracking north Norfolk coast. Sheringham, Cromer, Cley, Blakeney and Wells are all within easy reach while the quintessential historic East Anglian market towns of Holt and Fakenham are just an easy drive away. Ian the owner, a fellow marathon runner and kindred spirit, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful while he's armed with a fierce knowledge of the local area. We loved the Stables as did our two border collies, Izzy and Murray, who settled in right away while they had their own little paddock nestling alongside Ian's gorgeous Hampshire Down sheep to roam around in. No silly rules, no long list of do's and don't's, we had a brilliant break at the Stables and one day we'll make sure we'll be back for more!

The property was well presented with excellent amenities

This was a lovely stay for us, just the right size for a couple and a small dog. Everything was provided for us, including a generous 'welcome' bottle of wine! The cottage is situated out of the way off the local road, and is very quiet and peaceful. Even with the countryside setting, we were only 10 minutes from Cromer town centre. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay with great value for money.
