Gorgeous and very central apartment
We stayed here for a weekend, to attend a wedding nearby - two adults and two children (aged 5 & 9). The configuration of the apartment was perfect: there are two double beds on the top floor, all kind of in the same room but separated by a wall (it makes sense once you see it), which was perfect for us. Really, really cute place oozing with character, and a very friendly vibe (again, that makes sense once you see it). Well provisioned kitchen (our catering needs didn't extend beyond making breakfast, but one could rustle up lunch or dinner no probs), and - the real clincher here for anyone spending a weekend or more in Rye - it's bang in the centre of town, next door to a great pub and with endless restaurants etc a "short stroll" (as estate agents would say) away. We parked at Wish Street car park, which was around £6 for 24 hours and had plenty of space - I think there are cheaper options but this was fine. The owners live nearby and were super-responsive. Entrance was via a key box, which was straighforward - and you could use to stash the keys when heading out for the day. Recommended!

We had a lovely stay at the Quarter House in Rye. The cottage was cosy and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. The cottage is in the heart of Rye and you have everything you need within walking distance - from pubs, to restaurants, shops etc. It was also a great base to explore nearby Battle, Hastings, Romney Marsh, Camber etc. Sally, the host, was lovely and was on hand to answer any questions. We would stay here again in the future. AS I am 6 ft tall and broad would be nice to have a larger bed. The local area is lovely with so many small independent shops to browse etc, nice café culture with plenty of choice.
