Lakeside luxury

What a pleasure it was to arrive at lodge 2 late on a winter's afternoon to find it lovely and warm inside. The lodges are so well insulated that they are so inviting. Additionally, they are fully equipped for normal living (not just holiday living) with proper crockery, cookware and glassware.......there is even a washing machine. The outlook and the grounds are immaculately kept, and Rachel and her father are always around ensuring upkeep. All in all, we couldn't rate Lakeside Lodges any higher, and we have travelled and lived all over Europe.
Stayed 14 nights in Nov 2021

Just home from an enjoyable stay.

Just home from an enjoyable stay. The lodge was clean, cosy and well equipped. My partner loved the fishing. Just one suggestion, a light nearer the mirror in the bathroom and maybe a shelf near the sink?? Would definitely like to return again one day.

We had a brilliant time at Lake View Lodges, the weather was perfect, which helped, and the Lodge was everything we could have wanted. The site was lovely and peaceful, yet near enough to the main road that it was easy to get to wherever you wanted. We've stayed in many cottages all over the UK and this was by far the cleanest one, and had everything that you needed (thank you Lake View Girls). I would recommend a meal at the Bricklayers Arms (Old Leake), the food is gorgeous and the carvery out of this world (you need to book for the carvery). Another pub I'd recommend is the Malcolm Arms (Anton's Gowt) the food is good and they serve it at lunchtimes (except for Mondays) which a lot of the local pubs don't, even if their websites say that they do! Would definitely love to go again.

A beautiful and well equipped lodge close to the coast.

A beautiful and well equipped lodge close to the coast. A really nice relaxing get away. Boston and Skegness are both very close by. The lodge is spacious and has everything you need for a home from home. Would definitely return.
