Holiday at Gumburnville
Our 3 generational family had a very enjoyable week long stay at Gumburnville. On arrival, we found the property clean, well-furnished and welcoming. It was well equipped with extras such as toys, games, dvds, books and plenty of leaflets about the local area. The geography of the house meant that we made very good use of the kitchen - it was a great place to gather and spend time together. The utility area provided good space for storing coats and shoes. There was a washing machine and a downstairs toilet in this space also. Upstairs, there was a main bathroom and two en-suites. We found the bedrooms to be nicely presented and comfortable. We had absolutely no problems with the WiFi at any time during our stay. A couple of minor points to make are that we found parking for our second car tricky. The fact that there is only one space is made clear as part of the property details, but perhaps advice about where/where not to park might be helpful. The top floor bedroom is beautiful, but the eaves are very tight to the bed so you need to be very careful when walking around! Location wise, there is very good access to the coast and many beautiful parts of Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Loved our stay at Gumburnville.
Loved our stay at Gumburnville. Stayed in Oct/Nov. Particularly loved the aga which made the kitchen lovely and cosy, although other than heat food up we didn’t cook on it. The attic suite was fabulous but make sure you remember about the sloping roof!! Good place to stay and explore. Need a car to get out and about, nothing close by. Didn’t bother us we loved to visit all different places that we had never been to before. Thank you so much for letting us stay. Have recommended it to family and friends. Lovely cottage, spacious and cosy with a nice garden.
Lovely cottage, spacious and cosy with a nice garden. The cottage was very clean. For tall people over six foot, there will be some ducking to do, especially on second floor bedroom. The location was great for short drives to Port Isaac, Tintagel and beaches at Polzeath, Daymer Bay and a half hour drive to Bude. Off-road parking is OK for one large car only. Strange times so don’t get caught out without enough change for car parking, might need to download parking apps depending on car parks. Book ahead for Eden Project.
