This cosy holiday property has an interesting and eclectic mix of styles and is situated in the heart of the village of Newbiggin-on-Lune. The house was originally built as a barn in the 19th century and retains many rustic features. The village is set at the foot of the Howgills, which form a triangle of mountains between the communities of Sedbergh, Ravenstonedale and Tebay. The Howgills make for excellent walking terrain. Wainwright considered them some of his favourites. They are still relatively undiscovered, and you can walk here for miles without seeing another soul. The location is ideally placed for exploring both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Shop and restaurant 5 miles, pubs 1½ miles.
