Everything was great.
Everything was great. The fireplace and bath tub were a highlight. Our only suggestion is to replace the double mattress, as it was very uncomfortable and we could feel the springs in our backs. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A cozy place.
A cozy place. Everything you need in a getaway cottage. A clean and well equipped place and with WiFi (which was a bonus for walk research). The local pub was a stones throw away but was quiet and respectable. Would recommend the butchers in the next village along in Holloway. Nigel the owner keep us informed and with his help the pace of the holiday was as we wanted, relaxing ! Would recommend the place without hesitation. Fab! Great base for exploring the peaks.
Fab! Great base for exploring the peaks. Very homely cottage that has benefitted from a fairly recent refurb. Sitting in the garden with a glass of red while the children played in the park across the way was an unexpected bonus as was the short stagger back from the pub! Well equipped with everything you could need and more! Nigel, the owner was great and gave good advice as to places to go. If we are ever back in the peaks this would be our first port of call. Winner! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Great place to base yourself to travel round the peaks.
Great place to base yourself to travel round the peaks. Comfortable cottage with great bathroom. We spent most of the time sitting outside as weather was so warm. Pub which is 1 minute walk away serves great food and very friendly. Owner was in contact before we arrived to let us know about cottage and tell us about surrounding area.

A lovely cottage with everything you need for a perfect weekend away.
A lovely cottage with everything you need for a perfect weekend away. Extra touches of fresh flowers and chocolates left for us, also tea, coffee and milk to make a welcome drink on arrival. Great communication with the owner who gave us information about the cottage and the surrounding area as well as details on places to eat. We plan to return later in the year.

This is our 2nd visit to Post Office Cottage, and sure not to be the last.
This is our 2nd visit to Post Office Cottage, and sure not to be the last. The cottage itself is fantastic, full of character but with all the mod-cons. Lovely of an evening to have the open log fire roaring and only a short walk to the pub. It's perfectly situation for exploring the Derbyshire Dale's and a short drive to the popular Matlock. Another Gem within a 10 minute walk is Lea Gardens with it's winding paths through the beautiful landscaped gardens along with the spacious cafe serving great food and drink. Overall a great place to stay.
