The photos don't do this lovely place justice—it has clearly been re-decorated since they were taken, with a fresh lick of paint and furnishings. The house is spacious and comfy and in a great location for the beach, a great local pub, a corner shop, fish and chips, and a tea room. The village is quaint and picturesque, with thatched cottages and lovely gardens. Our family of 4 enjoyed our few days here very much. I'd only mention that the stairs are pretty steep and curve sharply. This didn't bother us, but you may want to consider it if you have someone older / less mobile in your family.

Nice little cottage, well-placed

The beds are comfortable. The kitchen had all the cooking implements we needed. Very short walk to the shop, the fish & chip shop and the dog-friendly pub. We were amazed by how few people there were on the lovely, sandy beach.

Perfect getaway in a lovely cottage.

Perfect getaway in a lovely cottage. Cosy and impeccably clean, we were delighted with our break at Eastwyn. You’re a short walk from the beach where we were lucky to see hundreds of seals. The village store and chip shop are a stone’s throw but you have plenty of scope to take/ make your own food and drink. Lisa is a lovely host and we couldn’t have asked for more. (Oh and our dog loved it!) Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Winterton is a lovely village and Eastwyn is a great place to stay, this was our second visit and we look forward to staying again in the future. We received a friendly welcome from Lisa (the owner) and knew she was on hand if we needed any help or advice with anything. There were some treats for the dogs and tea bags, milk and biscuits for us on arrival. The cottage was lovely and warm with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Beautiful cottage set in the centre of the village. Friendly hosts just next door, very obliging. Short walk to the dunes and beach, with local shop and post Office as well as a welcoming pub. Bus stop close by for anyone wanting to use public transport.

Fantastic!

Lovely, clean cottage which was so close to the beach. Lisa was really kind, leaving sweets out for the children and treats for the dog. Very understanding about having a relatively new, nervy rescue dog on her first holiday too! The cottage has everything you need and WiFi and a parking space an added bonus. Rooms bigger than appear on the photos. Lovely pub and great fish and chip shop in the village with a couple of convenience shops too. We had a brilliant time here. The beach is beautiful and saw plenty of seals. We hope to go back soon!

We had the most fantastic week here.

We had the most fantastic week here. Lisa is lovely and very welcoming. Milk. sweets and dog biscuits were there when we arrived. The cottage was spotless and very well appointed. Winterton on Sea is a great location and the cottage is right in the middle. 5 minute walk to a lovely beach with a great cafe, 2 mins to a lovely pub and a great fish and chip shop. It’s also well located to visit elsewhere. We loved it so much that we booked again before we left! The children can’t wait to return and our dog can’t wait to get back on the beach!!

Lisa made us very welcome from the moment we arrived.

Lisa made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. As our stay fell just before Easter, she had hidden eggs around the house for the children, which was a really nice touch and they enjoyed this. We absolutely loved the cottage and it felt just like home from home. It was warm, cosy and spacious and our kids say it was the cutest cottage ever! The kitchen was really well equipped and the bathroom was excellent too. On sitting down to watch a video at 8pm one evening, and having problems getting it working, we knocked on Lisa’s door apologetically to ask for help. Lisa and her partner Phil were very kind and changed the DVD player and even the TV without any fuss at all. They were very accommodating. We had such a fabulous time and will definitely be returning.

We received a very warm welcome from Lisa and Sarah. Lovely to have thoughtful touches like a pint of milk in the fridge and biscuits for the dogs as well as for us. The cottage was warm and comfortable and had everything you could need. We would heartily recommend Eastwyn for a lovely holiday retreat.
