Spacious, well equipped property
What a gem. We stayed for a long weekend whilst visiting family. The property was spacious and very well equipped. Norman met us on arrival and was incredibly helpful showing us how everything worked and providing information on the local area. There is a nice pub only a few minutes walk away. The garden was completely enclosed which meant the dog could wander in and out. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our weekend away. The bungalow was very well equipped and bedrooms very comfortable. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. The lay-out was very much like an apartment which we enjoyed, and the living/dining/kitchen area was very spacious. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We were made very welcome on arrival by Norman, one of the owners who showed us around the cottage and made sure we knew how everything worked, heating, showers, dishwasher, etc. There was a lovely welcome pack that included milk, biscuits, cake and wine. The cottage was very well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glassware and cutlery. We’ve stayed in places that sleep four before and there has literally been four of everything, not so here, there’s more than enough. The kitchen had dish towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine soap. The beds were comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms had plenty of towels and a powerful shower. There was plenty of comfortable seating area in the living room. We noted a previous review mentioned two negatives, the main road and the condition of the showers. Firstly the road. The cottage is situated on quite a busy road but both bedrooms are at the back of the property and we didn’t find the road disturbed us. Secondly the showers. Whilst there was some degradation in the mastic around the shower tray showing some discolouration we didn’t feel it was dirty or unhygienic. Whilst there isn’t necessarily that much to do in the immediate vicinity of the cottage it was an excellent place to base ourselves whilst we explored Norfolk. Most of the places we visited were no more than a 30 minute drive away. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Moor’s Rest. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Moor's Rest is a very comfortable place to stay and a good base to see everything around the North Norfolk coastline. The owners are very hospitable. The one slight problem with it is that it is on quite a busy main road which was fine for us as we were out every day but if you wanted to spend a lot of time in the garden, from which you cannot see the road but can hear it, it may be an issue. You cannot walk (or run) out from the cottage as there is no footpath and the road is too busy. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage, very well equipped.
Lovely cottage, very well equipped. One of the best equipped self catering cottages we’ve stayed at. Although on the main road, we found it to be a really good location to get to all areas. We’ve rented cottages nearer the coast before and found this the easiest location to travel to and from as you don’t get stuck in traffic. Friendly owners, with good advice. Lovely modern cottage, and lovely hosts as well (adequately socially distanced, of course). Nice to have two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms, the kitchen has everything you need and the location is great for excursions across all of Norfolk with acceptable travel times. It’s also right across a nature reserve! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is an excellent cottages for two couples or a family, as each can have their own en-suite bedroom. The cottage is clean and well equipped and has all you need to cater for yourself as it has full kitchen facilities and all the pots and pans required. The only downside is its position near the busy A148 and that is is not in a village but everything you want is in Fakenham so you have to drive. Good value compared to other properties of this quality.

This was my second stay at moors rest. It's a beautiful self catering accommodation with a 5* hotel feel. There's plenty to see whilst being outside the hustle and bustle of the town. The owners are extremely helpful and if you need anything all you need do is ask. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family. Such a lovely home from home! Well equipped (needs a pizza wheel though lol) and loved the welcome pack. We all loved the games and being able to snuggle on the huge comfy sofa. Local town only a five minute drive with a choice of supermarkets. Lots to do within a 20-30 minute drive, in fact we were spoilt for choice! Plenty of restaurants in town, and particularly liked the Fakenham Tandoori. Lovely host, would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying at Moor’s Rest, very well-appointed accommodation, clean and spacious, felt like being in a posh hotel suite, and we had a lovely private outdoor space to relax in. The owners are welcoming and thoughtful, and gave us great advice about local walks and places to eat. We are hoping to go back next year.
