Welcome card on arrival which was a really nice gesture.
Welcome card on arrival which was a really nice gesture. I had previously stayed at Goulday with my sister who died last year. Emma new this and her welcome card reflected this fact. Much appreciated. I spent a pleasant two weeks there this time, and hope to return at some time in the future. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Very warm and cozy cottage we had a lovely week despite poor weather for 3 days.
Very warm and cozy cottage we had a lovely week despite poor weather for 3 days. Very quiet and peaceful village beautiful surroundings. Only one negative comment we were not given any instructions (that we could find) regarding recycling or waste collection but we found all instructions regarding cooker, dishwasher etc. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Lovely area and views.
Lovely area and views. The bungalow is homely and a perfect size for us. We had a great time. Could do with a little more local knowledge detail but would come again! :-)

Lovely setting.
Lovely setting. Could have done with a little shop on the village, but that would probably spoil the quaintness off it all.

Great location in small, quiet village yet a short distance from all facilities in Buxton,
This property was unfortunately not clean in all areas. I had to clean and dust all bedroom drawers before storing any clothes - these would be better with lining paper so threads not caught on aged timber. Skirting boards were dusty, inside washing machine detergent drawer filthy, and fabric covers on small tables stained and un-ironed. I took photos. Bed linen, towels and bathroom fittings were clean. Cottage looks tired and in need of an upgrade as well as thorough clean. It could be great. Most disappointing as we would score three other HomeAway properties stayed in 4/5, 5/5 and 5/5.
