Lovely hideaway in the Lake District
We had a wonderful time at Joan’s Cottage - it’s off the beaten path a bit, but close to Keswick in a beautiful private setting. I particularly enjoyed sipping my tea every morning by the bubbling beck. The house was snug and clean, just what we wanted for our Lakes getaway!

We were very disappointed that the video players were not working and we were not informed prior to us arriving. We had to wait for ages to get hot water in the Kitchen sink even with the heating on. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable holiday for the third time at the cottage. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Cottage has everything you need and we felt at home straight away. Within walking distance, or very short bus ride of the village shop and pubs in Braithwaite. Good rambling / hiking on the doorstep or a bus ride away. We didn't use the car all week except for a trip to the Coop in Keswick. Having a washing machine worked well, with a large airing cupboard to dry clothes when the weather is wet, or a line outside when it's dry. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A beautiful secluded cottage whose main feature is the chattering beck alongside, providing a good place for a restful holiday. It's in a deep valley which faces east so might feel gloomy in cold or dark weather, but was fine for summer. A steep bridleway leads directly from the house up to Whinlatter Visitor Centre (20-25 minutes walk up; 15 down :)) for walks and mountain-biking. There's no local shop so all supplies will need to be bought elsewhere and brought in, but a local gallery sells tea and coffee as well as amazing artwork. We had a restful week.
