Although the bungalow itself was lovely there were problems : the freezer was not working properly, the front door lock was not working securely, Twin bedroom window and toilet window would not open, curtain rails were not sliding correctly. The shower cubicle had black mould which needed bleaching. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

there have been some big changes since we were last here in 2018, all for the better and can recommend this bungalow for your trip away. We did find the sofa facing the window in the lounge uncomfortable and low making sitting down and getting up difficult, but we are of an age when slightly higher seating is required...we tended to use the two chairs, which are very comfortable most of the time. recommend reading the instructions for the hob as it’s difficult to operate if you don’t and the freezer wasn’t working properly it was iced up and we could only use the bottom drawer with difficulty, but told the office and they were going to see it got mended. We enjoyed our stay at Manesty.
We enjoyed our stay at Manesty. The lounge and kitchen areas were wonderful and well equipped. The owners have done a lot of work to improve these areas. We are presuming that the bathroom may be the next area for improvement as it is beginning to look a bit tired. There are damp patches in the bedrooms with the twin room being the worst. The garden area is steep with some steps up to the grass area. There is a handrail but we didn't see it for a few days as it was covered by the hydrangea. We spotted it after a really windy night blew the bush over. The steps themselves were slippery and some of them wobble when you walk on them, this wasn't great for a 70 and 65 year old! We know that many improvements have been made to the property so guess it is a work in progress. keep going because what you have done is super.

Very Nice place.
Very Nice place. The children absolutely love staying here. We’ve stayed 2 years in a row and looking to stay again in future. Very clean, very good facilities (I wish it was slightly cheaper but I shan’t complain!). 5 mins drive from Keswick as well which is very good for me. Really lovely cottage, quiet and peaceful yet only a mile from keswick. Handy walks from the door for our dog and only a short walk up to latrigg and the climb to skidaw. Fells and coastline within easy reach and breathtaking views of the coledale horseshoe from the lounge window

Our 2nd visit to Manesty so it was good to see the improvements. Lovely new kitchen where we sat every day listening to the cuckoo. In a peaceful location with walks from the door yet only a few minutes in the car to Keswick. Well equipped cottage, but some garden furniture would be nice to relax in the lovely garden. Wished we had booked for longer, didn't want to go home.

Modern interior and well equipped kitchen-diner made this cottage ideal for self catering stay for us, our 18 year old daughter and patterdale terrier. Especially like space in porch for coats rucsacs muddy boots and leads. Enjoyed using Alexa & listening to various playlists. Only comment we needed more plug sockets in the bedrooms. Hope to book again
