Peaceful
Firstly, it is in a fantastic area of countryside. Nature surrounds the property, and the fact that it is a working farm has little noticeable impact on the guests. If you require absolute quiet then this is the place for you. Access to local villages and larger towns is remarkably easy, if you have a good sat nav. The views are glorious and ever changing. To say that the property is adequate would be over stating the fact somewhat. We were shown the key, and that was it. We had 1 single sided document indicating do's and don'ts' and another stating various emergency numbers and local Hostelries. Be aware that there are NO basic provisions in the property, so purchase EVERYTHING (and I mean everything) you may need before arrival. The property is in need of some TLC, for instance, leaking Kettle, detached Headboard, shower needs upgrading. However, for the price it fulfilled our needs completely and didn't detract us from our break away. Good value for money.

What a wonderful place to stay with such wonderful hosts.
What a wonderful place to stay with such wonderful hosts. We were woken up by the cows mooing and had a log fire every night. Lots of walks straight from the cottage. It was fantastic. I would highly recommend it and would love to go back.

What a wonderful cottage to have as a base to explore the surrounding area.
What a wonderful cottage to have as a base to explore the surrounding area. Cows in the field every morning what a delight. Cheddar gorge only 4 miles away and can be reached with a lovely walk along the strawberry line. Wells definitely worth a look as is Weston super mare only 7 miles away. Golden sandy beaches with plenty of prom cafes. Great for chilling out. Superb holiday. Thank you Archie and Maria.

Our hosts were v friendly and helpful, lending us their own (larger) saucepan when we needed one and offering use of their own personal freezer. Farm setting and location v peaceful, lovely walks nearby and beach and other fun sites a short drive away. Cottage was big enough for our family of four, cosy and mostly comfortable and helped us have a restful break away from home. Table tennis facility, while not v roomy, was v much appreciated. A couple of wooden spoons and one more well-sized saucepan ;) and matching lid would make the kitchen facilities even better. Cutlery drawer, shower handle fitting and shower hose could do with a good clean. The bedrooms might benefit from new pillows as the ones provided were pretty tired and misshapen. Quibbles that are hopefully v easy to fix and were ones we chose not to spend much time thinking about while we were there.
