We had such a lovely time. Shame it was on a main road but that was the only negative. Beautiful inside and out. Would recommend to anyone that wanted to stay on the North east coast.

We had a really good week here, with only a very few minor drawbacks. The locality is superb, with the beach only a couple of minutes walk (really!) down the hill. There is nothing that anyone can do about local amenities, as Sandsend is a very quiet, peaceful and picturesque 'village', with just a couple of hotels a shop and a few cafes - but, in a way, this is its charm. The cottage was extremely well equipped, and it was only that the beds were a little hard that put that aspect down from a '10'. other similar cottages nearby, run by the Mulgrave Estate, are more costly, but most are more recently built or refurbed, so the cost is ok for the locality. if one wants cheaper, one has to go away from this picturesque village. Our granddaughter loved the beach, its rockpools, flat sand (for safe bathing) and following the stream inland. We also enjoyed Runswick beach a little further up the coast. We hope to go there again!

Fantastic break in a spotlessly clean and cosy cottage. Neighbours Alwyn and Gordon were delightful, warm, friendly and approachable. Views from cottage are lovely and it's right on the doorstep of a lovely beach.

The sunnyside 2 has offered an fantastic experience both for my family and my parent who are visiting us from China. We wouldn't have fully enjoyed those the best country side views without your welcoming and thoughtful accommodation. No wonder people saying repetitively here, whole cottage is indeed maintained in an immaculate condition. We can find from all kitchen appliances to all takeaway info.(Thanks God. The Thai takeaway leaf saved us from late hunger on a sunday night). The separate washroom shower is a delight after tiresome day-outs. The garden works absolutely as a charm to allow us to enjoy the seaview and mountain at the same time. Kicking off with morning coffee in garden and finishing with a cozy fireplace snuggle contributed greatly to our journey. Absolutely love to have stayed here and come back again ! 谢谢你的招待。

Fantastic little cottage with charm and character. It was a delight to stay in Sandsend in such a glorious position. Despite the proximity of the road it was not at all noticeable. Hopefully will be staying here again

very nice place, good situated for North Yorkshire Moors. Very helpful and lovely neighbours. Elderly people with plenty of stories and good advice. No 'easy' pub around and the few restaurants all require prebooking. But Whitby is in easy reach (by car) with plenty facilities.

The inside of the cottage can only be described as cosy and well equipped. There are two parts to the outside: one very pretty part with the windows facing a small courtyard and garden shown on the pictures, the other side faces directly the road to Lythe. The location is unfortunately right on a bend of this road with hardly any pavement therefore the crossing of the road to the parking spot is quite dangerous for people with walking disabilities or small children.

A perfect holiday in a super location - with the females outnumbering the men my only comment is that another shelf in the Wash House would be very useful. What are all those lotions they use ? Being a hotel operator I have marked the cleanliness down a point as the corners were not perfect but I would certainly book the cottage again.

Great weekend, lovely well equipped cottage .
Great weekend, lovely well equipped cottage . Second bathroom was good but in the information it should state it is outside in a separate building. Location good for adults but prospective holiday makers with children should be warned just how close to the road the cottage is .
