We absolutely loved this place and have booked again for next year. Clare, the owner, was so welcoming and friendly, even giving us two freshly laid eggs. Fresh flowers were in every room. The location was stunning and the house felt like a home. We loved the battered sofas in front of the open fire. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Our second visit.
Our second visit. We had a lovely stay and were fortunate with the weather. Beautiful location and stunning scenery and grounds. Friendly gardener (Joe) and most beautiful golden retriever (Daisy). Helpful owners. Property is warm and relaxing. However please please change the sofas. They are nearly impossible to sit on. Also would be a nice touch to have garden recliners and a parasol for warm days. Otherwise was all excellent and very well equipped. Lovely walks and lovely places to eat (Lunesdale Arms, Pheasant, Hard and Hounds and Highway man) all very good. We look forward to our next visit. We can highly recommend. Lovely place to rest and unwind.
Lovely place to rest and unwind. Lovely drive to the house lots of sheep and cows to greet you! We are a family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a spaniel. Lots of great hiking and biking. Kayaking too. En-suite has no shower just a bath. We used shower in family bathroom. Good water flow. Maybe due to covid, there were not many utensils. I always take my own roasting tins and steamer. We ate out most the time. Highly recommend the Sun Inn, The Royal and Lunsdale Arms. We had breakfast at the Tea Room just round the corner. Delicious full English and such a sweet tea room. The only grumble I have is the sofa we found very uncomfortable and would strongly suggest It be replaced. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The Court House is a spacious and characterful holiday home in an amazing location - the house itself is very private and quiet, on the grounds of Leck House. Use of the tennis court was a daily joy. Loved visiting the caves, Ribblehead Viaduct, pony riding, even Windermere. Our two children were very happy, and on a more mundane note things like laundry and parking were easy. Delicious groceries from Booths in nearby Kirkby Lonsdale. WiFi is decent enough to enable us to make zoom calls etc . Would love to return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A home from home! Very comfortable accommodation, clean, spacious and cosy and despite the large rooms, the heating system coped very well and all areas of the house were warm. The beds were very comfortable. There are plenty of walks direct from the house, but also short drives to a number of beautiful places. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of no fireworks! We would certainly stay here again.
