We had a lovely week staying in Brook Cottage.

We had a lovely week staying in Brook Cottage. It was so cosy and perfect for 2 people. The garden is lovely. We really enjoyed being in Eardisley - it’s a great position for walking and not far from Hay on Wye and Hereford. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We found Brook Cottage very charming and quiet, ideally would have preferred a shower rather than a shower tap at the bath, but this was shown to be the case on line. Useful literature on the area provided. We will certainly visit Herefordshire again! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We loved our stay.

We loved our stay. Local amenities still a bit limited due to coming out of COVID lock down. Local shop has most things. Ceiling in lounge / kitchen lower than expected but got used to it. Well equipped kitchen. Garden lovely , peaceful with plenty of shade if needed. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We have stayed here four times now .

We have stayed here four times now . It is a lovely cosy cottage ideal for two people ( and a dog of course ) Peaceful enclosed safe garden , lounge and small kitchen combined . A garden room with table and a small settee to look onto the garden . Very steep stairs to double bedroom and bathroom . in normal non covid times there is a very good pub in walking distance and a pub/cafe - sadly this time there was no information on opening times or menus so we didnt go but lots of nice pubs in driving distance. great for walks from door step and further afield Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A beautiful cottage.

A beautiful cottage. Clean and comfortable . The conservatory is perfect for eating in if the weather is a little iffy. There is a beautiful cottage garden safe for dogs with a summer house for when the sun is too hot. We had a fantastic relaxing week.

Brook Cottage is very basic but for any real cottage lover that is what its all about.

Brook Cottage is very basic but for any real cottage lover that is what its all about. the owners respected my wishes and left me alone to read which was absolutely brilliant. The cottage really makes you feel at home from the second you arrive and while small the large garden, big conservatory and wooden garden room gives lots of additional space to relax about. You really do feel that your stepping back in time when your at Brook (especially in the beautiful garden). Now while there is no way to wash or dry clothes and no dishwasher if your only there for a week its not really a problem. The Tudor village itself is very charming indeed with a well stocked shop and a choice of wonderful old world pubs. They are lots of splendid walks near by and some fantastic local food suppliers. And if you dont mind paying for your pets to come along to Brook Cottage with you there are a few really great walks for them also but you need to be aware that the local 'poor' farmers frequently stop in their new Land Rovers to remind you to keep them on the lead or they will be shot! One banged on the cottage door less than 3 minutes after we arrived to accuse us of killing yesterday 'all' his sheep!! But lets face it dramatic fanciful farmers are like that all over the English countryside!!! most of the very local villages are a day out in themselves. Parking at the cottage is problematic as there is a very narrow blind country road between the bridge you cross and the cottage so you need to park extremely close to the brook. Unfortunately a busy tractor took out the back of my car while we stayed there and as expected the very young driver didn't wait to swoop insurance. Brook Cottage is a relaxing place to visit and makes a super base to explore the whole county.

Brook Cottage was a perfect hideaway from the busyness of London, and ideal for our two retrievers with a good sized and secure garden. It is a lovely wee cottage, with all that we needed and a perfect location to explore the surrounding area.
