A comfortable and well equipped single floor holiday home in a quiet location.

A comfortable and well equipped single floor holiday home in a quiet location. Easy access to the South Downs and the coast, with plenty of interesting places to visit. Would suggest a supermarket delivery for supplies, due to it's location down a long narrow lane.

Very well insulated property & comfortable beds.

Very well insulated property & comfortable beds. However, the dining table chairs were extremely uncomfortable & only good for around a 20 minute sit down. Not good if you are in to board games or a card playing session (even after we sat on cushions!). The hosts were very sociable & the location was ideal for our trips out to the the local racecourses. Shops were a bit of a drive away, so we tended to do our shopping whilst visiting other places. Perfect place if you want to "get away from it all"

Enjoyed a week in this very peaceful location.

Enjoyed a week in this very peaceful location. There are several houses in the immediate vicinity which did not cause any worries for us at all. The home baked cake on our arrival was a nice touch. The cottage is well equipped for your every day needs. If you enjoy a brisk walk their are plenty to choose from starting at the cottage. If bird watching is your thing then the activity around the bird feeders will entertain you for hours.

My Mum and I had the best relaxing time at the Old Carthouse and the owners, Mandy and Chas were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they really made us feel welcome. The location was lovely, so much to see and in such a rural pretty area, most places were only 20 mins away and the beautiful village of Steyning was not even 10 mins in the car. Lovely afternoon tea places in Steyning and the White Horse pub served lovely food.

This is our second visit and the cottage is as wonderful as we remembered. Well appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed evenings in front of the fireplace. Lovely walks nearby. We will certainly be returning.

My friend and I had a lovely week here.

My friend and I had a lovely week here. We had all we needed, it was peaceful, comfortable and private. The only difficulty was internet/ phone connection but we were fully aware of this before we booked. Very happy, would book again.
