This cottage is a really well equipped, comfortable and warm - we had some cold weather and a bit of snow. For walking it is wonderful, we walked from the door all week. The village has good eating opportunities especially the Riverside Bar for good pub food and a cafe. Keswick is not far for shopping and othe eating opportunities. There are several other pubs/bars/restaurants in the Borrowdale valley. Altogether a delightful place.

Clean and comfortable cottage with beautiful views. So many lovely walks right from the doorstep, and a pub serving good food just a five minute walk down the road. I would definitely stay here again.

Best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at. Beautiful cottage but the windows looking out on that wonderful view could have been cleaner. Everything else was spotless.

This is one of the best holiday lets we have ever seen, the attention to detail and cleanliness is outstanding. The position of the cottage is perfect and yet it is only about ten minutes away from all of the amenities in Keswick. There is a good bus route through the village.

We really enjoyed our short time in the cottage.
We really enjoyed our short time in the cottage. We paid for 3 nights so we could choose to leave when we wanted on the Sunday. We didn’t use the 3rd night but it was worth it. We loved how well the cottage was furnished, and the kitchen was fantastic with biscuits. It even had a set of kitchen scales. Although the gas fire was broken, we were still warm enough. We did a lot of walking from the cottage and loved the ducks in the field opposite. Beautiful views from the cottage added to the ambience. We would definitely rebook when possible.

Exceptional location perfect for walking and with Keswick nearby it has everything you need.
Exceptional location perfect for walking and with Keswick nearby it has everything you need. On main bus route and National Trust car park yards away. Very nice cottage, clean, modern and well laid out with good facilities. Did get a little hot on warm nights with the main bedroom opening onto conservatory/porch. This is a minor issue though and we certainly slept well. First class which is why we returned for a second time this year .

We had a brilliant stay and I would highly recommend this cottage - beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and equipped. It is in a quieter area of the Lake District which suited us perfectly but for some people might mean that local amenities were in shorter supply than a bigger centre could offer.
