A fabulously well equipped, furnished, clean & comfortable cottage.

A fabulously well equipped, furnished, clean & comfortable cottage. The cottage had everything we needed for our self catering week in the Lakes...the owners have thought of pretty much everything to make it feel like a real home-from-home experience, from a fully equipped kitchen, lovely furnishings and top quality bed linen & towels! The outdoor space is fabulous for a small family -our toddler loved the garden and the daily visits from the cheeky hens! Thank you for a wonderful week!

The owners Pete & Jean are very friendly but not in anyway intrusive even though they live next door. They have clearly listened to previous Guest comments and made improvements where warranted. The driveway entrance has been extended and I had no difficulty parking my 5008 (7 seater Peugeot). The property was immaculate throughout and everything worked. The welcome pack was helpful as the nearest village shop is at Levens about a ten minute car journey away. The views from most of the windows and garden of Barrow Tenement are beautiful and very peaceful. I will certainly return.

A wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings.

A wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings. The cottage was immaculate inside and the owner had left a few welcoming goodies! The area was beautiful with daffodils, damson trees in blossom, lambs and mountains. We had a lovely walk from the cottage up to the "Lords Seat". In the evening. you can walk to the local pub.....good food and drink ( can recommend the damson gin and tonic!!!) The cottage is in a quiet location, but is easy to get to Lake Windermere, where you can hire boats etc and the various mountain walks, including Scafel Pike.
