The area is great for cycling and the village of Greenodd is on the W2W national cycle route. There is also fishing nearby.

A wider range of amenities can be found in the market town of Ulverston, 4 miles away. This bustling town is known for being the birth place of Stan Laurel and is home to the world’s only Laurel and Hardy museum. Ulverston also has a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés and hosts various events and festivals throughout the year.
