The cottage and welcome package were lovely, my only comments would be mentioning about the very close train track and the very strict rules for the dog, perhaps these could be made more prominent at the booking stage, other than that all was good. Tilly Cottage was a brilliant choice for our holiday.
Tilly Cottage was a brilliant choice for our holiday. The cottage is very homely, with all you need for a comfortable stay. It is well equipped and very clean. The goodies were very welcome including the delicious fruit cake and bottle of prosecco to celebrate walking Hadrian's Wall for which the cottage is well situated. I have no hesitation in recommending Tilly Cottage and if I am in the area again I would certainly book another stay. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Tilly Cottage is a very comfortable, cosy cottage, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. A lovely base to come back to after a day exploring Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding area. Great walks on the doorstop with access to Hadrian's Wall Path 10 minutes on foot. Milk, eggs, fizz and home made cake just a few items provided by the owners, even treats for our dog. The village pub served great food and the village also has a tea room. I would definitely recommend staying at Tilly Cottage and wouldn't hesitate in returning in the future. Cottage was beautifully done with so many little touches that made it really homely and cosy.
Cottage was beautifully done with so many little touches that made it really homely and cosy. Was lovely to sit on the bench and enjoy the rockery garden straight in front of you. Welcome pack was generous, lovely home made cake to go with a glass or two of the bubbly in the fridge! Eggs, milk and butter too plus enough tea, coffee and sugar to tide you over a day or two if you had forgotten to bring any which I had! (sugar!) Two dog bowls in the kitchen which was handy, two less things to have to pack. Zak thoroughly enjoyed his stay too, he has never walked so much as during the week we were there. Found some lovely walks straight from the cottage and a country park just up the road which we popped into a couple of times. Plenty to do in the area and the local pub did good food, the people were very friendly, we didn't get to go to the tea rooms but hear it was very good, it did look nice when I peered through the window one day! We love Northumberland and did travel to Warkworth one day, beautiful walk along the beach and also Cragside National Trust place is well worth the journey. Would definitely recommend Tilly Cottage as a place to stay for a relaxing break. Didn't need to light the fire as weather pretty good but there are heaters in each room which warmed up very quickly to take the chill off in the early mornings and evenings. What a lovely cottage, we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. Everything has been thought of by the owners. So comfortable and clean. We did not want to leave!!!! the owners are very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely like to stay here again if we return to this part of Northumberland.
