There are plenty of walks on the doorstep, and the Sustrans cycle track from Glencoe to Oban runs through the village. Climbing, hill walking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, fishing and golf are just a few of the many activities available and within easy reach. The ICE factor national ice climbing centre, at Kinlochleven is 8 miles away.
The Jacobite Steam Train in Fort William will take you through some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, or take a trip up Aonoch Mor on the gondola. Take the short crossing and head for the Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point in Britain, or take the ferry over to the beautiful Isle of Mull. Further afield, you can take a day trip to Oban, Loch Ness and Inverness, the highland capital.
The area is steeped in history with an abundance of wildlife, and the magnificent backdrops which surround this area have been used in many famous films including Harry Potter and Braveheart. A short walk will take you to the Isles of Glencoe and a regular local bus service is available.
