It has a cosy wood burner to keep you warm on the coldest of nights, and although there is no mobile phone signal or TV reception (however guests can bring their own DVDs as there is a DVD player in the property), the owner provides a great choice of DVDs to watch – or you can take your own. Thrill seekers will love Zip World Fforest, with its amazing treetop nets, in the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, whilst you can do the same at Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog but deep underground in an old slate cavern, or even soar overhead on the world’s largest zip wire zone! If you’re a surf dude, then Surf Snowdonia, the world’s first artificial surfing lagoon, is only 16 miles away and is great for catching a wave, or a coffee and a cake! The Ffestiniog Railway, Portmeirion and Porthmadog are all within easy reach, as is Conwy and Llandudno. Shop 3 miles, pub 4 miles and restaurant 8 miles.
