About this property
An art lover's home located in the best part of the Marrakech Medina
Dar d'Art is a refurbished 200 year old architectural gem, part of the ancient Palais Bahia in the best part of the medieval Marrakech Medina. This is a unique upscale home loaded with architectural details, contemporary African art and classic mid-20th century furniture.
The early 19th century riad has 4 ensuite bedrooms for a max of 4 couples or 8 individuals. There is an option to include a well appointed 2BR apartment in the city center for a maximum of 10 guests. The package includes a hearty breakfast each morning
The hallway and main lounge of the house features a restored 200 year old ancient cedar wood ceiling inlaid with precious metals, all hand done according to strict geometry by a master craftsman. The living area is completed by multiple soaring arches, antique doors and imposing ancient columns.
One of the bedrooms is a converted 200 year old hammam with its original architectural details intact. Another bedroom features classic Moroccan archways, stained glass windows and a sleeping alcove.
The home also has a multi tiered roof terrace garden with many intimate nooks, 360° views of the snow capped Atlas Mountain and views of the 1000 year old Koutoubia Mosque. Top it off with a secluded, serene courtyard splash pool with intricate architectural details for an extra special romantic touch!
