Mice, bugs, ants.
There was obviously a problem with mice and ants based upon the number of traps, poison and droppings in the house. The owners were quick to claim that we should have contacted them sooner, my thought is why wasn't this information available in the listings or comments.

Perfect cottage for a Nashville getaway
This cottage is full of quaint, old-fashioned charm but with thoughtful modern updates and amenities. We were a small party of three for a girls' weekend and had ample room for all we did. The surrounding property is gorgeous - just the quiet and privacy we didn't know we needed when we settled on Nashville for our getaway. We had the best of both worlds - spending mornings chatting in the cottage and afternoons in the city. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches - not just the spartan basics for laundry and kitchen, but everything we needed to cook and do laundry. The bathroom was perfect with its beautiful vanity table. The bedrooms were comfortably, even luxuriously, appointed. We all decided to sleep upstairs and use the bedroom downstairs for our luggage and changing. The king size bed upstairs was raved about by more than one of us. The sectional downstairs was perfect for lounging and chatting and we enjoyed multiple cups of coffee on the cozy front porch. We loved seeing the deer, as well as the beautiful bridge. We may even make this cottage the destination for all our future girls' weekends. Truly a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. We would recommend finding the cottage before dark when you check in. The owners thoughtfully left the lights on for us, but it was a little disorienting after dark.

Girls Trip Cottage
This was a great place to stay! The house has tons of character and charm. There is everything you will need for a weekend away. We went into Nashville every day and found that the 30 minute drive was a nice scenic one! This is located in the country, so we were able to see deer and listen to the birds. The king mattress was very comfortable! (Better than home mattress!) Side note: Use caution...the bathroom has little ventilation. We used the bathroom fan and a box fan, but the tiled floor was still super slick after a shower. There is a rug right in front of the shower, but adding another rug would help this issue. I would recommend staying here and would stay again if I'm in the area.

Cottage
The cottage was adorable. Very clean and had everything we needed for the week. There is also a very nice yard that our dog and daughter loved playing in. It is 20 miles out of Nashville but the drive is easy and worth it. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Great place in the country!!
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Country Cottage. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the big city (Nashville), but close enough to enjoy and get to Franklin, Leiper's Fork and Nashville. It had all we needed to make our stay a comfortable one. We even had a few visits from deer. One morning, they were almost to the hot tub. Nash, our faithful traveling companion, enjoyed walks on the property. Some things that need attention: the hot tub was not serviced before our visit and was quite dirty; there were not outside lights on in the evening anywhere on the property, and turning on the porch lights just brought numerous bugs into the house when we opened the door; since the property is advertised as pet-friendly, it would have been nice if we were made aware of the fact that there was mouse poison set out in two rooms. Not something we wanted our dog to get into. A little attention in the bathroom to the dripping shower and rocking toilet would be an asset. I'm sure the owner's would have fixed these problems if we had brought it to their attention while we were there, but I think these are things that should be part of having the place ready for the renters. Despite these minor glitches, we would stay here again and would recommend the property. It is a lovely, quiet, comfortable area. P.S. Nash and my husband enjoyed the hammock!!

Adorable cottage near Nashville
We loved your cottage and it was just what we needed to get away from our busy lives. Cute, cozy and quaint! Small cottage but it fit our family of four perfectly! Loved how the cottage was decorated...I could live there! We went into Nashville one day (American Pickers Museum and Broadway Street was so much fun and only about 25 minutes away) but also took advantage of the surrounding area. We went canoeing/kayaking in Kingston, TN, loved Nashville Shores - great waterpark!, Opry Mills Outlet Mall was perfect on one of our rainy days. So much more to do...we will definitely have to come back. Thank you for renting your cottage to us! We loved it and I highly recommend.

Amazing
This was the perfect getaway we loved it so much will definitely be staying here again and telling family and friends how cozy and homey the cottage felt. We got to explore the wildlife around us as well as the Cheatham dam and another park in the area. We went downtown Nashville as well, this house was perfect because we felt like we were in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Traffic was not bad 30 40 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go! Deer and rabbits in the back yard daily was an amazing site. Loved it and thank you for letting our family enjoy this beautiful home.

Loved it...Beautiful Both Inside & Out!
The cottage is absolutely beautiful. The setting is lovely. The mattresses are amazing! The attic mattress is just delicious. I am obsessed with that bed. Now, for the persnickety, the cottage was built in 1912 and is out in the country. Thus, it comes with all of the charm and issues that come with a home of that age in the country (i.e. there were bugs outside, as you'd typically find etc.). The cottage could not be cuter or more beautifully decorated. The cottage is just off of a major road, which is nice for convenience, but you can hear the traffic from the hot tub and front porch. It was a wonderful trip. I could not have been happier.

Perfect property!
This was a perfect cottage for couples. The property was gorgeous and would be really cool for a wedding venue! House was clean and beds were comfy. Hot tub was a bonus! Uber was about 30 mins into downtown Nashville. But the little town of Pleasant View has all you need as well.

Nicely decorated and well stocked, quiet getaway
We had a great stay, kitchen was stocked with spices with a variety of pots and pans, so if you like to cook it's great. The house was nicely decorated, no one was staying at the main house so it seemed very quit and secluded. if you will be staying in the area I would recommend cozy country cottage, much better then a hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lewis Cottage outside Ashland City, TN last weekend!!
The cottage was a little hard to find but the owner Jennifer was very nice and gave us directions from the restaurant that we met our friends at on Friday night and then we found it easily in the dark after our dinner. The cabin is so cozy and light and airy. The furnishings and decor are very pretty and feminine. I could picture a bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in the upstairs bedroom and dressing area. The grounds are very peaceful and lovely and our 2 dogs loved stretching their legs in the yard. The only negative that occurred was the yard man started mowing at 8am Sunday morning and I thought he should have started after we left at 11am. My husband and I wanted to get back in the hot tub that morning but did not feel comfortable doing so with him mowing the grass close to the cottage and with the mower going.... we could not enjoy a quiet cup of coffee on the porch before we left! Otherwise our stay was fantastic and we will stay there again!!

Clean, peaceful, quiet, and relaxing getaway!
We spent 4 days, 3 nights at Lewis Cottage over Memorial Day weekend to attend a wedding and celebrate our own anniversary. The property is secluded and beautiful. The cottage itself was clean and well decorated. Everything we needed was provided and it was a short drive into town for groceries and essentials. Getting to Nashville was painless and it was nice to be able to retreat back to this beautiful oasis afterward. The hammock and hot tub were great for relaxation. The upstairs king size bed was super comfortable. The only drawbacks were no fault of the property or owners, but just the nature of a 100 year old property. Things like power outlets being scarce and inconvenient, or the warnings about the plumbing being concerning, and the shower could be updated, but we had no real issues. Overall, it is a wonderful getaway and we would gladly return. Thank you Jennifer for a great weekend!

Very relaxing...
Beautiful property to babysit a 2 year old...he and Papa loved playing in the big open backyard where we all saw turkeys in the meadow and where we had a great egg hunt...we so enjoyed the well stocked cottage and having everything we needed plus extras..met the groundskeeper who made certain that everything was working and told us a lot of the history of the area...wish we could have found some dry wood for outside firepit...next time...thanks for making sure the hot tub was working...fun trip
