I had a relaxing month staying near the neighborhood I grew up in. The house was within walking distance of the harbor, restaurants and shopping. Cute backyard area that was perfect for hanging out with family and friends.
This is the third time we have stayed at this house which should tell you all you need to know about how wonderful it is. The house is clean and comfortable, with all the comforts of home. Kitchen is extremely well stocked with excellent quality cookware, dishes, etc. Nice linens, throw blankets, bath towels, beach towels. Landscaped backyard with a gas grill and large table is perfect for dinners at home.
The location is perfect. Far enough from the bars on Thames to have a peaceful retreat, but close enough to walk any time you want a nice dinner, fun bars, great shopping. The park at the end of the street offers gorgeous views of all the boats and the best sunsets.
Kate is an outstanding host - kind and responsive. We've only been home one day and already can't wait to be back in Newport at this property next year!
A lovely home-well appointed and comfortable. The yard and grill are a plus when staying for a month. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable to King Park and town. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The house is very conveniently located: a short walk to the water and park for nice views, and a bit longer walk into the main part of town. It was a very quiet area, and the house was cozy with multiple sofas. The master bedroom was a good size and comfortable, and the house had lots of kitchenware, linens, and towels. It was a relaxing stay.
We stayed at this property for the second consecutive year and enjoyed it just as much this time around. The house is clean, comfortably furnished, fully stocked with kitchen supplies/cookware, towels, linens. The backyard is well manicured and featured a nice patio dining set and gas grill. The location is phenomenal - a 2 minute walk to King Park and about 20 minute walk to Bowens Wharf. Great property, highly recommend.
The house is adorable, comfortable, cozy yet spacious, with everything you may need and more. The neighborhood is quiet and perfectly located just far enough from town to be walkable yet peaceful and quiet for relaxing away from the crowds. Kate is welcoming, super responsive, so very helpful and genuinely kind. Thank you! We loved our time here!!
Great location just 4 houses up from the south end of the harbor, easy walking to Thames St and restaurants. Less than a mile to Bellevue Ave. Newport is fun even in cold weather (December)
House is very comfortable and livable with nice amenities ( comfortable beds, large bath towels, etc). Eat-in kitchen would be small for a large group. However, in the summer there is a great outside patio with a grill and large table which would help.
We totally enjoyed this house and would return in a heartbeat!
Cozy property very close to the water and night life of downtown Newport . Great walking areas for pets. Quiet neighborhood, clean home, extremely responsive hosts, beautiful fenced in patio/yard. 3 bedroom ( 1 is perfect for kids with 4 bunk beds). It was mostly me and 2 dogs, later joined by family and friends to celebrate moms 90th. I would rent here again. Thank you Kate!
Everything about this monthly rental was perfect for our group of 4 adults. The owners were easy to work with - super responsive, communicative, and kind. The house is clean, beautiful and well-appointed; it is fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchen supplies, and miscellaneous household items. The backyard is beautifully manicured with a comfortable table and nice grill.
The location is wonderful. King Park at the end of the street offers a beautiful park and small beach. The water views are gorgeous and it is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. There are countless restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. Mansions are walkable as well. The larger beaches are a 10-15 minute drive.
All in all, I would highly recommend staying at this property!
Great location. Located near everything. Great owners.

Great home in Newport's Fifth Ward
This is a great house with a perfect location for us. Very much within walking distance to Thames Street, Bellevue and First Ward if there are no mobility issues. We have only positive things to say and anything identified is more informational and not a complaint.
The house in on a quiet street with the exception of the construction project next door we weren't aware of beforehand. It's very clean and everything you need is there. No items are left from previous tenants so there are no staples there if you cook often like we do; spices, sugar etc. This home would definitely cater to a large group, except the kitchen, a very small table, but there is a nice outdoor table for seating up to 5. There were only 2 of us for this trip so we had plenty of space. This the second time we rented in The Fifth Ward.
Last year's property we rented has been sold so we luckily found this one. The fenced in yard provides a great deal of privacy and there's a nice outdoor area, but it wasn't mowed during the month we stayed. The outdoor shower is addictive. There is no privacy above the shower, however and the other homes are very close together.
Kate was great to work with and responded quickly to inquires. We will definitely rent this property again next year. Thank you Kate

Comfortable Home in Great Location
We are a family of 5, including 3 teens, and this home worked nicely for us. The location made our trip less of a headache as we did not have to constantly search for parking (or deal w/ summer traffic) to enjoy the activities in Newport. We were able to walk to Cliff Walk, the "Cottages" (The Elms is especially close!), and all throughout the downtown/harbor area (shops, restaurants, etc.) easily from this home base. (NOTE: We're talking 1 - 1.5 mile walks to get to some of these places, so give yourself time & bring good walking shoes.) There is also a local harbor park just a few houses away - a great place to watch the sunset! The home itself allowed the kids to stay upstairs in their own space, while giving us parents a little privacy in the comfortable bedroom downstairs. The back yard felt private, including the paver patio that was nice in the afternoon/evening and the outdoor shower that was fun to use. The home also offered some nice amenities, like a washer/dryer & air conditioning, which came in very handy during our hot summer week! (We were also glad not to have to pack sheets, towels, etc. as they were provided by the Owner.) The kitchen was well-equipped, but a little tight for the 5 of us ... we ended up moving chairs into the main living space around the coffee table for any of our on-property meals. The Owner, Kate, was very friendly and responsive from the initial contact/inquiry right down to the check-out/follow-up, and we appreciated that. (She even provided a great list of restaurants to try - and we sure did!) Having this comfortable home in such a great location helped make our Newport trip enjoyable for the whole family ... thank you!

Best family vacation ever!
This comfortable cottage accommodated our family perfectly. It was equipped with everything anyone would need while on vacation. From beach towels and chairs to a gas grill in the beautifully landscaped back yard and toys to keep the little ones happy. The beds were easy to sleep on and house was nicely decorated and very clean. You couldn't ask for a better location, 10 minutes walking distance to town, and 10 minutes driving distance to the beach. We especially loved to watch the sunsets at the park a stone throw away from the house. We love Newport and we will be going back again. Thank you Kate for allowing us to rent your beautiful home!!

A Lovely cottage and perfect Location!
We had a wonderful time staying in this cottage while vacationing in Newport for a family wedding. The location is perfect and close to everything! The park and view at the end of the road are amazing and the cottage has everything one would need to feel right at home! The kitchen is well stocked with all you could want and the yard is a great bonus, nicely landscaped and fenced in as well! The decor in the house is beautiful and classic and anyone visiting Newport would be lucky to stay here!

Cozy accomodations!
We loved our time at this Newport property. The cottage was a perfect size to accommodate our family of 5. It was clean and fully stocked with supplies. Nice little patio but we elected not to use the grill as it was in need of a good cleaning. Kate was a wonderful host and even stopped by to bring us extra towels unexpectedly.

Neat, clean, well equiped, comfortable home in ideal location
The property was well equiped, very clean and newly refurbished. There is a bbq in the back garden with a large table and seating. The location is ideal, if like us, you'd like to walk into Newport. We liked the area and explored the many attractions including the local cliff walk, beaches and restaurants. We had a particularly good meal at the Stoneacre Pantry in Newport and enjoyed cocktails watching the sunset at Castle Hill Inn. We would recommend this property to friends wanting to explore RI. Kate was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions.
