Lovely 3-Bed Cottage, Portmahomack next to harbour
Welcome to Harbour View, our wonderful seaside cottage which is warm and welcoming - the perfect year round property just yards from a sandy beach, shop and cafe/restaurant in the lovely village of Portmahomack.
A wonderful setting with amazing sea views and ideally located for many Highland attractions . Sea trips, fishing and water sports, bird and dolphin spotting are some of the things this area has to offer.
Great for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
Portmahomack is a delightful seaside village, the only west facing East Coast village in Scotland and it has it's own micro climate. Very rarely wet!
It houses the renowned Oystercatcher restaurant (Michelin guide recommended) open Wed - Sunday in high season. Please book in advance.
There are also some coffee shop/lunch spots at the Carnegie Hall, Golf Club and Caledonian Bistro.
The beach is beautiful, very quiet and perfect for dog walking or sand-castle making! Tain is a few miles away and is a larger town with key amenities like supermarkets (Asda,Tesco,Lidl), dentist,doctors etc. There is also a great children's play park on the way to the golf club.
There is a swimming pool at Alness and Invergordon. Other places to go are Falls of Shin (walking), Cromarty Ferry (dolphin spotting), Tarbatness Lighthouse (dolphin spotting,walking).
Please note that there will be a small additional charge to top up the electricity when you leave for the next guests. This is approximately £5-£10. There is no additional charge for heating etc.
