Shipwrights is a treasured little holiday cottage in Kingswear which enjoys lovely views across the marina and River Dart towards Dartmouth and the Britannia Royal Naval College. Perfectly set up as a base for a couple or a small family to explore the South Devon area. A great spot for walkers with the Dart Valley Trail and the South West Coast Path almost on your doorstep; come home from a day exploring the cosy wood burner. Parking at the marina car park nearby is included in your stay. Please note that, as this is an old building, the layout may not be suitable for guests with mobility problems. Accommodation:
The front door leads into the open-plan living area with slate flooring throughout. The kitchen has painted wooden units with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, and microwave. The lounge area is centred around the exposed brick fireplace with wood-burning stove. It is complete with a sofa, armchair, TV, and DVD player. The dining table and chairs for three are set by the large window with views across the river.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms - one double and one single - and both have river views. There is also a shower room with an electric shower and WC.
There's electric heating and a wood burner for comfort (logs can be purchased locally).
Parking:
There is room to stop outside to unload. Secure car parking is included at the Dart Haven Marina Car Park, a 2-minute walk away.
It's important to be aware that guests will need to provide us with the vehicle's registration, colour, and model so that we can arrange the permit. This information is required at least one week before your arrival. If this information is not provided, you may be issued with a parking penalty, which will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

The shops and pubs are a 5-minute walk down the hill. At the top is one of the village shops and the café 'Moor@13'. Roughly halfway down to the ferry is the Steam Packet Inn, which serves great food. A bit further down is the Ship Inn, tucked up off to the left. At the bottom of the hill, you will find the steam train station, ferries to Dartmouth, and the second village shop and Post Office.
